I was pleasantly surprised the food was fairly good here. I had the walleye and I really enjoyed it. The portions were generous. The decor is tired and dated. Like all of a Gardiner, I felt I was visiting another era. The service was very good.

It's right next to the hotel and they also provide the hotel breakfast, which we haven't tried yet. We both had burgers which came exactly as requested - they were huge! They willingly substituted a baked potato for fries, which was nice. The bread that comes with the meal was warm and delicious. The prices were not bad at all... More

This is one of the nicer places in Gardiner from what we could gather. It was okay. We ate here near the end of our trip and we were a little tired I think and just wanted food to eat. They were able to give us that. The decor was an old mine, and it looked old. They had a... More

We had dinner here and it was pretty good. We just had burgers and chicken so did not try the steak or seafood (which was a little pricy, about $28-$30/plate). The service was really good and the atmosphere not bad either. Food was decent and served hot. We were there in the off-season so it was not real crowded or... More

I had breakfast here on three different mornings, had something different every time, and loved them all. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. If you are here off-season, as I was, it will be pleasantly uncrowded. However, the waitress told me that in the busy summer months they do a buffet instead of a serviced meal.

While visiting Gardiner recently we dined at the Yellowstone Mine both in the evening and morning. The restaurant theme is nicely illustrated with various mining tools and pictures. The menu offered a good variety, and the meal portions were very adequate. The breakfast buffet was excellent; lots of food choices and easy to self-serve. Highly recommended.

The food here is by all means wonderful, but it's the service that I really like here. The servers are friendly, attentive, and they LISTEN. They are very familiar with the menu and can give you solid advice on ordering. I had both the walleye and the grilled snapper on two successive nights, and it was great. Sitting next to... More

We stayed a week in Gardiner to be close to Yellowstone & ate at several places in Gardiner (some were already closed for the season) & the Yellowstone Mine restaurant was one of the best. My wife & I both had the Walleye & it was delicious. The service was great & the atmosphere was funky "mining" decor. We were visiting... More

We have lived in Gardiner for almost 25 years and eaten in this restaurant many, many times but I believe tonight was our last time. I ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken. The chicken was slimy and tasted not quite right, like maybe it was frozen when they attempted to cook it. I sent that back and the waitress insisted... More
