Good local haunt

Dinner here while visiting Yellowstone. Started with roasted garlic, which was too oily. Husband had filet mignon, which he said was well grilled. I had the chicken Cesar salad which was like most other Cesar salads; nothing exceptional. Server was very good, if maybe a bit chatty. Good... read more

The staff here are the crowning glory of the restaurant. The menus is good and the food has been satisfactory if not spectacular. A few flaws (Soggy croutons instead of french bread in the otherwise really good French Onion Soup and steak that was slightly tough, ribs which were chewy) doesn't ruin the whole thing though. The place is clean... More

This is a Best Western hotel with a restaurant. If you stay at the hotel then the breakfast is free. The buffet consist of the normal items being eggs, pancakes, sausage links, biscuits, gravy, french toast, cereals and fruits. We feel it is your best choice for breakfast in Gardiner. Most other places don't open until lunch.

Very nice staff, overly generous portions, looked like both locals and tourists frequent it. Decorated with mining tools from the past, fun to guess what they were used for.

I was bummed they didn't have prime rib but I ordered the rib eye instead. The meal was excellent; despite being 'off season' everything tasted fresh. My only gripe is that being a solo traveler I couldn't get the dinner menu served at the bar (the same kitchen services the bar- burgers, etc - and the formal dining room). The... More

I had a wonderful steak oscar. My husband had a terrible rib eye steak. Argued with the waitress. She finally brought him another one, same too tough to cut. Did not look like rib steak. Breakfast was buffet that was dried out from sitting too long.

Excellent menu. The service was not the quickest and friendliest but the food was very good. Its a popular place and having eaten in several other places in Gardiner its easy to understand why. I had a photography group staying at the Best Western so the Yellowstone Mine is very convenient and we eat here all three nights we stayed... More

Me, my husband and three friends went to this restaurant four times during a week staying in Gardiner, to visit Yellowstone. I think it was the best restaurant in town, specially if you like meat, their specialty – well, meat is pretty much all you can find in that area, I guess. But it was well prepared, tasty, I enjoyed.... More

This is one of the few places open for dinner in Gardiner during winter and that is not a bad thing. They have a decent mix of good grilled meats and few salads. Crucially, for those of us with food allergies, their staff take allergy questions seriously and check ingredients carefully before serving. On a few dishes the server advised that... More
