We checked out this place solely due to my fellow TripAdvisor reviews, which are usually bang on. However, this one was really strange. We had an opposite experience to everyone else. Maybe it's because we got there pretty late but the wait staff was atrocious. Our waitress seemed drunk/high and kept stammering and forgetting things. With that being said, the... More

Don't judge a book by its cover, should be the motto for this restaurant. My husband and I had the best meal of our 9 day trip here. His steak was flawless, the best steak he's ever had (and he's eaten A LOT of steaks before) and I had a wonderful pasta dish that was huge, way more than I... More

If you judged the front and inside of the Raven based on looks, the plastic chairs, bar seating, and wood paneling would leave you to believe that this is a typical small town greasy spoon with mediocre, predictable food. This judgement is completely wrong. The Raven is a place that exemplifies the saying "don't judge a book by its cover".... More

Such a pleasant surprise in somewhat unlikely surroundings. A bit rustic appearance and might have passed it by if not for hearty recommendation of local lodging proprietor. Mushroom appetizer was very nice, as was pork tenderloin. Certainly worth a look if in town!

Loved the Raven Grill- great food- and even greater dessert - loved the feel of the Gardiner town as we sat and looked out at the Elks walking by. It was a cut above the usual steak type places known in the west. I had halibut and it was great

I expected much more from this place. The food was good, however, a couple of things disappointed me: 1. Overpriced!!! 2. The patio was noisy because of the soda machine 3. One of the plates was dirty

We stayed at Canyon Village while in Yellowstone but we had heard the steaks in Gardiner, MT were great so the day we visited Mammoth we drove out of the park for only a short distance and the visitor center suggested The Raven Grill for our dinner. We were not disappointed. There were 7 adults and we all enjoyed our... More

We arrived in Gardiner after a long day making our way through Yellowstone. Upon the suggestion of the Inn Keeper, we decided to take her advice and head over to The Raven. We were starving! We sat outside and had a beautiful view of Yellowstone. The waiter was very pleasant and the service was good. Our meals were delicious. We... More

Cute little cafe with small indoor seating area and an outdoor patio area. Service was so so on an early week night with a crowd ,but not swamped. The menu is diverse with steak, elk bison, seafood, and pasta. I had Pasta From Hell (OMG Wonderful should be the name) and hubby had Bison Bolognese which he slurped, I had... More

Probably one of the more expensive options in Gardiner, but I'd say it was worth it. The elk burger was enormous and very good. Other portions, such as the salmon, were also very large and could have been shared easily enough.
