To have received the reviews that I have seen, and a recommendation from someone we liked, we were disappointed. The pasta was over cooked, as was the fish. For a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, this smacked of pre- cooked to us. Service was too sharp, moving us on in 30 minutes when the restaurant was half full, making... More

Gardiner, MT is in the Montana "outback" and to have a restaurant of this quality available is almost unheard of. Interesting menu that gives choices from around the world, but one thing to remember; The Steaks! Aged, organic Montana beef that is awesome. The sauce really sets the steak apart from your run of the mill steak house. Going to... More

Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. My husband had the shrimp fettuccine which was good and I had a side salad and bacon mashed potatoes. Menu is limited. We found out after we were there that is was BYOB and we could have brought our wine into the restaurant. We each ordered a dessert which was really unique - banana... More

Deserves to be #1. Out the middle of nowhere the Lighthouse delights with choice and quality of food. Spent three nights in Gardiner and ate here twice. You have to try the "Hot Butterfinger Butterscotch Better Batter Butter Cake" for dessert, if you can say this tongue twister. Very tasty.

Have no idea how this place is getting positive ratings. I am a frequent travel and this was one of the worst meals my husband and I have ever experienced. From the dust-covered fake flowers on the table to soup straight out of a Campbell's can. Perhaps it has changed hands recently? The clam chowder literally had the lumps of... More

We had a great meal at the Lighthouse. The ambience was friendly and casual. Dining was comfortable. The food was delectable. I broke down and had a fabulous steak. The kids loved their meals, as well.

My husband I ate here on two consecutive nights when we were staying in Gardiner; the owner of our hotel highly recommended the place. She also told us we could bring our own bottle of wine (which we did), and that there would be no fee for uncorking it (there wasn't). The first night we had one clam chowder, one... More

There is no reason to ding this place. The food was good, as well as the ambience. The desserts were a little disappointing. The pop price of $2 for a can is a little high.
