Good coffee and pastries in Gardiner

My wife and I stopped in here for a coffee and snack before heading down to Yellowstone National Park and we were happy with our food and drink. Lovely quirky café with lots of interesting objects d'artes. We had coffee and some delicious cakes made from very alternative ingredients. Tumbleweeds has a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, well worth a stop off on your journey.

When I wanted to "recycle" a book, they called the owner and got a fair "store credit" for me to buy other books. The sandwiches were tasty and the prices were fair.

We ordered some sandwiches for lunch twice early in the morning before going into Yellowstone. They were very good both times. Doing so was much better compared with another day when we had to wait in a very crowded cafe for lunch inside the park.

If you're passing through Gardiner, this is a great place to stop. They have many informative books about Yellowstone and great food. Their caramel apple ice cream is amazing and their soup is good, too!

Very good and fresh sandwich made to order right before our afternoon rafting trip. Try the Fury sandwich you wont be disappointed.

You must try Huckleberry Tea - it is very tasty, cheap and local. I must say the breakfast as a whole doesnt have much variety but its pretty cheap gets you full. I am sure that anyone who wants to have breakfast or just wants to hang out will have a gret time. Btw. it has free wifi and looots... More

I think that I probably visited on an off day for Tumbleweeds. They were clearly short-staffed and struggling to complete orders. Our sandwiches took 20 minutes to appear. The order was then all produced in the wrong bread. Even allowing for that, the sandwiches were disappointing. All very sad because they were clearly nice people.
