we could walk there from the motel after a very long day of driving which was nice. the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was pretty fast. the pizza and calzone we ordered were ok if a bit skimpy on the meat. there wasn't much sausage on the pizza and only a few pieces of pepperoni in... So the food here was excellent and lots of it. But we waited a bit long and kinda feared the guys behind the counter got the munchies and ate it themselves. But, no, they were just slow and pretty laid back and, like, whoa... It was well worth it, the beers were VERY cold and sitting on the upper deck... More

3 blocks from our hotel in Gardnier MT. Order at the counter. Really good food! I had the bison quesedilla. Friends had the burritos. Small place but you can climb stairs up to the top and have a commanding view of Yellowstone River. We saw Elk on the opposite side as we sat. They brought the food up to us... More

Prices were a little high and the food was a little bland for being Mexican food. The staff wasn't overly friendly. Not many places to sit so it would be hard for a family to sit together.

This TINY place was great!!! What a value and terrific freshness and taste - huge portions. We had the Bison Burrito and chicken nachos and they were both great - many choices of "fresh salsa - with degrees of 'heat." Owner/chef was great to talk with - small outdoor area to eat in as well as small indoor area.

I thought this was more of a sit down place than it was but it was good. I haven't had a good/real Indian taco in a while and I could barely finish it. Good prices.

The queso is super good! I would get it on the side as it makes your nachos soggy (like most nachos). Husband enjoyed the slow cooked bison taco. REALLY GOOD Mexican food for Montana but average for what we get back in Florida where we have so many authentic family Mexican restaurants.

I travel through the Gardiner area frequently with work, and I LOVE the Silvertip! I have to agree with the last reviewer, the Tumbleweed next door is also fabulous if your in the mood for sandwhich/soup instead of mexican...but for fresh, tasty mexican you can't beat the Silvertip. They use as many fresh & local ingredients as they can, and... More

I live in Yellowstone seasonally working for the National Park and let me tell you - it is a bit difficult to find tasty fresh food in the park! I love the Silvertip and the Tumbleweed which is right next door. They have the same owner and have similar spacious lay-outs, and relaxing atmosphere. I like to get a burrito... More

First off this review is coming from a person who has traveled Mexico and South Texas and knows what REAL Mexican Cuisine tastes like. This place has a sign out front “Fresh Mexican Food” claiming authentic Mexican Cuisine. We ordered three plates of food from a young boy who seemed clueless. He was the only employee so he took the... More
