Wish I had ordered the Elk Burger

Pretty expensive for what we got. The buffalo rib eye which I ordered medium rare was very tough. Good fries.

We were here around five years ago and swore we would never go back. Tonight, we decided to give it another chance. Wow. What a difference. New management, and the food and service were great. I ordered the elk burger, medium-rare, with bacon. The meat was perfectly cooked, bacon was crisp, and it was delicious 😋!

The restaurant felt a bit like a lodge, with log, wood construction but the food was just average. Our waitress was a little confused when we asked her to split an order (which they couldn't or didn't) but overall the kids liked the western music.

Our family(wife, daughter(26), son(23) spent a week in The Corral apartment of the Cowboy Lodge. It was a great place to stay to visit Yellowstone. Very convenient location. Located at the Yellowstone river bridge in Gardiner. The apartment fit our needs perfectly. Two bedrooms with 2 queen beds in 1 and 1 queen bed in the other. Very comfortable beds.... More

Late in the evening and tired we ate here for dinner. I had a BLT and fries. Fries were soooo old and cold. He brought me more. Only choice was white bread which was toasted and dry as cardboard. Very mediocre. Hubby had cowboy stew or something, but it looked like a lot of leftovers in a bowl.

I am from the south, and as we all know, people up north just don't cook like we do in the south. Cowboy's is the closest thing we've found to "down home" cooking in our travels up north. Good barbeque and home cooking. (My husband and I had the chicken fried steak, it was good). We travel to Yellowstone quite... More

We stopped in about 5 minutes before closing time. We decided not to stay and eat. So the employees could go home. The owner insisted we come In And eat. So we did. And we are very glad we did. We REALLY wanted a steak. I can honestly say it was the best steak/food we had on the whole trip.... More

We like barbecue, so make a point of trying every barbecue place we come across. This one was up there in the better than average range. Fresh food, full ears of corn, the special barbecue sauce for the chicken was amazing and little fat on the ribs. While it won't beat the barbecue in the hill country of North Carolina,... More

Small and plain inside. Can be noisy, if full. Uncomplicated food menu, some good beers, unimpressive wines by the glass. My brisket was tasty, if a bit over-sauced. My wife's burger was OK but a bit over cooked. Our server was a little abrupt, a little inattentive and must have been new as she didn't know anything about the menu,... More
