Exceptional

Great atmosphere. Exceptional service and food. Party of six and everyone enjoyed their entree (venison, filet, mushroom curry dish). Broad wine selection. Worth the money.

If you are in the Big Sky area, this restaurant is a must. Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. It is one of the nicest restaurants in the area, but well worth the high price

We (3 people) enjoyed a wonderful meal in a lovely setting. Since last year, the menu and service has dramatically improved. If you had a mediocre experience there in previous years (uber high prices, haughty service, menu items not available) definitely follow my semi reluctant footsteps and give their new chef a chance. Soup to nuts, our dinner was very... More

We were here for cocktails, dinner and breakfast here. Signature whiskey drinks, local dishes highlighting elk bison and local game. And for breakfast...duck eggs Benedict. A real treat....and an adventure in dining.

Didn't stay there, but the restaurant is about the best in the area. Big Sky fine dining is a bit behind in sophistication, but this place has at least one waiter who knows what he's doing, and the food is very good. Nice lighting, some nice art, and a decent wine list round things out. Down in the canyon, it's... More

The meal was absolutely superb. We were with a large group and everyone was extremely satisfied. The service was outstanding. The ambiance was wonderful. The menu is quite eclectic with many choices representing locally obtained food (bison, trout, etc). The wine list was plentiful. This would be a perfect place for a special occasion or maybe just somewhere different where... More

Celebrated an engagement at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge Restaurant. The cozy dining room has beautiful windows that overlook the national forest. The wine list (probably the most extensive in Big Sky) is hard to beat, but the mark-ups seemed a bit high. Food was prepared to perfection (we had pheasant and a venison au poivre) with a melon bruschetta to... More

We were a group of 22 so we pretty much ordered everything that the menu had to offer. And there were some really unusual offerings. The lamb shank was one of the best I"ve ever had. Spicy dry rub seasoning and really really tender. Roasted asparagus soup, yummy. Truly a foodie's delight to dine here. Breakfast the next morning was... More

We loved the venue, the service and the food. Great choices included: Elk, Boar, Trout, scallops! It was so nice having our own private area in the wine cellar.

Very nice place but very expensive. The staff was great the food was very good. The only bad thing is how long it takes to be served. Had both dinner and breakfast and the wait was not acceptable, 45 minutes for breakfast with no one in the place. Will come back next year.
