Homemade and healthy. Only complaint is that as an owner operated cafe they need to close to get a day off!!

This is a family run restaurant and the service is good. Everyone is nice and polite. The food though is average at best with nothing special. If you are truly hungry and need a place to eat right away, this place is OK but otherwise, I would suggest driving down the road (Rte. 2) about 5 miles to the Izaak... More

Cozy, friendly family run business. Nice selection on the menu. The dinner rolls are to die for! No alcohol served.

The breakfast buffet includes coffee, homemade cakes (the huckleberry coffee cake is amazing), cereal, oatmeal, biscuits, omelets, and belgian waffles all homemade at the inn

Family owned with Dad and kids waiting tables, Mother does the cooking. Really nice to find a family ran business rather than corporate America establishment. . Ate here for dinner and breakfast.

One would expect that the menu would be loaded with vegetarian and vegan options, but none were available. This restaurant is a Healthy Haven in name alone. The menu was loaded with the usual artery-clogging meat dishes, but nothing for the truly health-conscious. The motel and restaurant appeared to be clean, but the proprietors were neurotic about the potential of... More

Before we remodeled our rooms at the Inn on the same property, we allowed dogs in our rooms. During that time, it took more time to clean the room so it would be acceptable to guests that did not have dogs with them. After all our rooms were fully remodeled and set up with expensive quilts with bed skirts, we... More

We were fortunate to find Glacier Haven Inn for our 2-night stay while visiting Glacier National Park. Not only was the room comfortable, nicely decorated and roomy, but the personable service of the McMilllan family was top-notch. The food at the cafe was delicious. We ate breakfast and dinner at the cafe and also got a sack lunch from the... More

"We were looking for a place to have coffee in the Glacier area, and we happened to find the Healthy Haven Cafe in Essex, Montana. The coffee was so good, that we decided to come back another time to have the breakfast buffet. I was especially happy to find Organic products. And everything was fresh! Fruit, coffee, design your own... More

Family owned and operated..Dad and kids out front, Mom and Grandma in the kitchen. Everything fresh and cooked to perfection. Affordable home cooked meals and the lodging is very nice also. A must for anyone in the area.
