Surprisingly good

After reading several reviews that praised the food, but damned the service, we decided we'd give it a go while in town. Perhaps the folks that complained of the service dined when they had staffing troubles, or just expected more. I don't know, but armed with the knowledge we might have some wait... read more

Since dining options are limited in Emigrant area, we decided to give the Livery Stable a chance for dinner last night. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought our food was very good - side salad was really good - had cranberries & broccoli in it which were a nice bonus. Only one waitress, so service was our biggest complaint -... More

My son, daughter-in-law and I stopped by for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the great friendly service and delicious food. Our waitress, Tina was very personable, friendly, humorous and helpful. The chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious and the gravy was to kill for. Servings were hugh! My son had a great time conversing with some local gentlemen while... More

When we walked in on a Sunday morning, the restaurant's nine tables were just half full and we were looking forward to enjoying breakfast in a historic old cafe with some of the valley's local clientele. Once we sat down, our waitress's first words to us were, "I'm sorry, it's going to take about 20 minutes. Are you okay with... More

Livery Stable is awesome. I never been to Emigrant, Montana but definitively will come back. We had breakfast & dinner several times at the Livery Stable and I met alot of friendly town folks. Menu (there something for everyone), our food was served hot and with a smile. Don (owner) visted our table to welcome us. The restaurant was just... More

My wife and I ate here with our four kids. The selections on the menu were few but the quality of the food made up for that. We loved the quaint setting and our time there. We will definitely go back.

We frequent the Livery Stables weekly. As locals, there is no other breakfast restaurant to have breakfast. We have been customers of this restaurant since it opened, yet every weekend it gets worse. We went in today for our normal Sunday breakfast. We were immediately greeted by a new waitress, that her first words to us was how horrible her... More

On our way from Paradise Valley (Chico Hot Springs) to Yellowstone National Park, we stopped at the Livery Stable Family Restaurant for breakfast. This diner is in the very small community of Emigrant in the Paradise Valley. There were several locals at a table discussing politics and bantering with the server, who was very friendly. Felt like a local hangout,... More

Would never have suspected food so delicious from a hole in the wall sort of establishment. The tattood guy that made our food is an artist! I had the Medora Chicken and it was topped with mushrooms. I usually detest mushrooms but he prepared them in a way that made me want more! Also the chicken was prepared perfectly!
