Good find-nice folks!

Enjoyed the daily special of BBQ ribs accompanied by baked beans and potato salad. All were good-portions were plenty and the staff were friendly. It's a good stopping in place-right in downtown. Carpe diem!!

When we saw that the daily special included a trout plate, we popped into Buns N Beds for lunch and found we were the only patrons. When I excused myself to the bathroom and asked my boys to wash their hands while we looked over the rest of the posted menu, the owner, Jan, asked me and my husband a... More

Our waitress was very nice and service was fast. However, she told us the special was a Cheddar Bomb, which was a sirloin grilled on the bbq, topped with cheddar cheese and pickles, and served on a bun. Came with chips, and and a small milkshake. Sounded pretty good. Turns out it is a small (about 1/4 lb) frozen hamburger... More

Went for the wifi, was required to order food, it was pretty bad. The potato salad must have been from a Costco tub, I had to spit it out (sorry to be graphic) and the brisket was rather gross.

Fast service, excellent food and chipper atmosphere. Got the cheddar bomb-not to be missed, yum! The bathroom was rustic.

Cheap stay in cooke city. Very, very basic cabin with a good bed. We felt a bump under the sheets: we found some dirty old rag under them:s Next to the bed was a water pipe that made lots of noise every 10 minutes what made it impossible to sleep, so i just closed the lever on it which cut... Saw the smoke from the bbqs and it smelled good Baby back ribs were smoky and moist with a well browned crust. Brisket on Mondays. Each day different. Inexpensive.

When you talk about sandwiches and/or BBQ and Cooke City together, there can only be one place you're talking about and it's Buns N Beds, run by Leo & Jan. Super friendly atmosphere, great food, and you're treated like family.

Yuk. We found nothing to eat here, although we entered famished. Food was very unappetizing. Not very clean either. We were very disappointed.

We were in Cooke City early season (mid-May) visiting YNP and the Lamar Valley. We took a break one afternoon from wildlife viewing to go to our room and nap, then have a late lunch. Not many places open this time of year but we walked in about 2:00 and had a nice plate of delicious BBQ chicken. They also... More
