The Miner- site of many a tipsy night in this ski paradise. This is pretty much THE spot to get dinner in Cooke. They could easily just serve typical schwaggy grease bombs and people would be more than satisfied after a big day of skiing or sledding. But they step it up a couple of notches to provide a quality... More

We were incredibly lucky to be overnighting in Cooke City on a night when The Miners Saloon was doing one of their Italian menus. We had pulled into the High Country Motel after a long day of driving from Mammoth Springs through the Lamar Valley across to the Bear Tooth Highway and back to Cooke City. Paige, the owner of... We were sent here on a recommendation from the owners of the cabin we rented! We got buffalo burgers, which were fabulous! The pizza that we saw others order looked great too! The wait staff was fun and friendly and it was reasonably priced!

We finally had two good meals after two unfortunate meals elsewhere (over priced or over cooked). First night was a vey good pizza with pepperoni, onions, peppers and shrooms. We got the large and finished it for lunch the next day. Night two we split an excellent burger and fries. Juicy meat with a nice char on the outside... So... More

We didn't really expect to find great food in Cooke City but we did at the Miners Saloon. Classic, rustic, pub-like room but the food was more akin to upscale city living, yet at a reasonable price and with good service. Highly recommended.

Four of us dined here Sunday night. Two had greasy pizza. Two split a ginormous piece of some kind of meat accompanied by 3 tomato slices. For entertainment there were drunken patrons slinging their young children around a concrete dance area until the children cried. There's not much choice in Cooke City. Buy some cheese crackers at the gas station... More

We eat at the Miners about four years ago and the Fried were heavenly. So, we ate there again--Fries were still heavenly!!! Great food and decent service. Local people working were friendly and chatty. Not a fancy place--but who cares--you are on vacation!

Our group stopped in for pizza after a full day in the park. Being a touristy mountain town, our expectations were low. Miners Saloon has a decent menu that is above and beyond the typical bus trip pull-off spot. We regretfully were not hungry enough to order many of the tasty menu options, but we were very impressed with their... More
