End of season food choice: pizza!

We had been alerted by our hosts at High Country Motel that the restaurant selection in Cooke City would be minimal this time of year. We lucked out at the Miners Saloon though. This is a fun bar with lots of great local beers on tap. The walls and ceiling are decorated with a lot of interesting things to look at. Friendly staff and reasonable beer prices! If you are in Cooke city get a drink here!

Don't go here with expectations....it's the locals pub!! Wouldn't eat there but fun place to mix with the locals and hear their stories.

I understand what a previous reviewer says about the sort of place you wonder whether or not to go - we would have thought twice just from the outside appearance, but we had been recommended by the staff at the Visitor Centre so decided to take their word on the matter. We were so glad we did! You could spend... More

If you want some of the best pizza ever and enjoy great atmosphere, then the Miners Saloon is for you. We ate twice here during our stay, the second occasion the power was out in the area but because their pizzas are wood fired, they were still serving. Eating in the dark was fun but everyone in there was great.... More

Mountain setting, rustic, fabulous vintage bar and the wait staff were flying around to make sure everyone was taken care of. Burger and fries were really good. Fries appeared to be hand cut. We checked out the other dinners coming out of the kitchen and we were impressed. The wood stove pizza was a popular choice and looked great. Most... More

We arrived in this town very late and after checking into our cabin, we went to Miners Saloon for some dinner. I wasn't sure what to order and looking around at what others had I noticed a really great looking pizza as well as these huge burgers. My husband ordered a burger and I order this very unique, delicious salad... More

My husband had the bison burger and it was excellent. I ordered an appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and egg cooked sous vide and another appetizer of mini fish tacos made with trout. I expected Bison Burgers but the other dishes were a surprise on a short and simple menu. Friendly bar tender. Nice atmosphere.

We were looking for lunch. We both ordered the All-American burger, one of the cheapest food selections on the menu. The burgers are rather large, either 6 or 8 ounces. They were well made and came with all the trimmings, even a bit of 1000 island dressing. The fries were plentiful. Service seemed a bit slower than expected, since there... More
