Who knew you could find bistro cuisine in such a small town

Bistro cuisine in a small town like Cooke City was a nice change. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable and warm. We ran into the bistro in a middle of a thunderstorm and surprised how comfortable it was in the restaurant.

Very average. Salad was clearly out of a bag and not very fresh. My pasta was basic but tasty. My husbands was running with oil. Outside seating has good views.

I had the pesto fettuccine and it was delicious, it was a big portion so I took some" to go. My husband had the grilled chicken and he loved it.

We love the egg mcmuffin. Good coffee. Wish they had cappuccinno or lattés though. Clean. Not real expensive for a place clear up in the mountains.

I rate it three stars for the friendliness of the waitress but the food was nothing special. I had a standard breakfast but the toast was like Wonder Bread, the ham slice thin with not much taste, and the coffee weak. At least the hash browns and fried eggs were good. The bathroom could use a good scrubbing.

We thought we would treat ourselves to a nice dinner. I ordered a rib eye medium rare and it was a very tough piece of meat that was raw and cold in the middle. They ran out of baked potatoes so I had to have fries. The blue cheese dressing was very good but that is all I can say... More

1st: My dad enjoyed his hamburger even if they don't have pickles. 2nd. Only one person waiting on everyone. She was overwhelmed and though not entirely unfriendly it was obvious she was in over her head. 3rd. My husband and I ordered $7.00 grilled cheese sandwiches that were cooked only on one side, 1 piece of American processed sliced cheese... More

If you live in Cooke City it will take you a half a day just to drive to a decent grocery store. Given this, I'd rate the food at the Bistro as OK. We were there with a large tour group. My husband rated the lamb chops as better than he'd had at the best restaurant in Walla Walla and... More

Cooke City is laid out along a single main street and we weren't expecting much. My kids were attracted to this restaurant by the facade on the street and at the time we didn't have cell service or we'd have looked up the place on trip advisor and probably avoided it. The food was a little expensive, and as others... More

Cant expect much in Cooke City but we went for lunch and ordered soup and bread. After quite a wait the soup arrived but no bread. We eat the soup and then the bread arrived. What we got was good but we really needed it all served together. I don't think it was too much to ask. Anyway, we would... More
