Excellent breakfast.

We stopped in for breakfast rather than eat the free continental breakfast at our hotel. What a great call. There wasn’t anyone there when we arrived and our server promptly took our order. I had eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. My wife had the pancakes. Everything was perfect, including the... read more

OMG. Who serves Campbell's Vegetable Beef soup at a restaurant?? The salad my husband ordered came on a saucer meant for tea. The Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken? At least a day old,and blech. Hubby's trout dinner had pesto or something on it. We thought we were in for a treat since this was our last meal before leaving Yellowstone.

Great service and rustic décor. The food was very good and served quickly. The décor was very homey and comfortable. Like all the restaurants in Cooke City - this one was stifling hot as well and it was raining so we didn't have the choice of sitting on the terrace, although it certainly looked welcoming.

I had the grilled porkchop. It was big and thick and at first I thought it was good, but half of it tasted old. Hubby ordered the hamburger steak and he said it tasted like a dry hamburger patty with no flavor. Sides were a baked potato with butter and sour cream, and a small spoonful of what tasted like... Very average. Salad was clearly out of a bag and not very fresh. My pasta was basic but tasty. My husbands was running with oil. Outside seating has good views.

Bistro cuisine in a small town like Cooke City was a nice change. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable and warm. We ran into the bistro in a middle of a thunderstorm and surprised how comfortable it was in the restaurant.

I had the pesto fettuccine and it was delicious, it was a big portion so I took some" to go. My husband had the grilled chicken and he loved it.

We love the egg mcmuffin. Good coffee. Wish they had cappuccinno or lattés though. Clean. Not real expensive for a place clear up in the mountains.

I rate it three stars for the friendliness of the waitress but the food was nothing special. I had a standard breakfast but the toast was like Wonder Bread, the ham slice thin with not much taste, and the coffee weak. At least the hash browns and fried eggs were good. The bathroom could use a good scrubbing.

We thought we would treat ourselves to a nice dinner. I ordered a rib eye medium rare and it was a very tough piece of meat that was raw and cold in the middle. They ran out of baked potatoes so I had to have fries. The blue cheese dressing was very good but that is all I can say... More
