Description: The M&M Cigar Store is an inexpensive to moderately priced diner with an authentic saloon atmosphere.  The historic Butte establishment is known for its 24×7 breakfast menu, burgers and original home cooking favorites prepared behind the lunch counter. The décor for the M&M Cigar Store can be described as art-deco reminiscent of the 1940’s.  The furnishings reflect the projected image of the décor and restaurant. The lunch counter overlooks the art-deco stainless grill and the stools are a vertical “twist” ripple to the top with the M&M logo embossed on the seat cover.

M&M's is a good bar&grill but the name and sign is a bit deceiving because the sign says "Cigars" and there aren't any cigars. A visitor to the very nice city would be disappointed if they're trying to find a good stick.

Husband and i visit Butte yearly and always visit the M&M. The food is always good and if there is something you would like that is not on the menu they do their best to prepare it for you. The pastee is very good too! The servers are always happy and friendly and speak highly of the owner Sam who... More

Good service, good food, good beer, good gravy. The owner was our bartender on a lazy Sunday in Butte. His rapport with us and other customers was great. In a matter of a couple hours he offered advice on beers, fishing spots and what to eat. For the latter, I selected a beef sandwich with brown gravy and I was... More

You sit here and think that Guy Fieri might just roll in and say "Dude, you're rockin' it" (or another Guy cliche that he's trademarked). We've been to Butte a few times in the past 20 years but the place was either being renovated or was so deeply divey and dicey that we passed it by. Butte native Sam Jankovich... More

This place is probably more 'attraction' than 'restaurant'. Yes, they serve food, but it's not worth the visit. The attraction here is the place and the people in it. In a world with too much glitz, kitsch and superficiality, the M & M Cigar Store is the real deal -- an authentic communal gathering place that hasn't been 'made over'... More

The best thing about this place is the historic sign. My husband and I went here expecting to eat and have a few drinks and enjoy the history of Butte. We were there during St. Patrick's Day, so, in their defense, maybe they have seating and just didn't have it out. Maybe they usually serve food and just didn't...unsure. However,... More

I hate leaving negative reviews but for God's sake somebody please shut this joint down. We had heard that this is the Historic M&M and had eaten there in the past. The good reviews here said it's a good value and a good place to get a beer! We walked in and the server was beyond rude. Threw our menus... More

I visited twice during the week. Hot turkey sandwich and a "whatzit" burger (bacon cheese burger on Texas toast). You can sit at the counter and watch the cook or sit at a table. This is a bar, cigar shop, casino and diner that has been around since the 1890's. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town.

We went here after the first place we went to required reservation so the host recommended this place. When we got there we found out that it was $3 martinis for the ladies night. So I had my very first ever martini. I order the steak and they were out of the one I ordered so they gave me the... More

This is a fun place to go and have a drink or order a meal. Highly recommend the omeletes with hashbrowns and brown gravy. You get a real taste of what Butte is like on a Friday or saturday night if you visit the M&M Cafe.
