Casual atmosphere with a touch of nostalgia!

Asked around for a casual place/diner recommendation and Gamer's Cafe was it! Gamer's had it all. There is a nostalgic ambience, complete Norman Rockwell American soda fountain/burger joint. A tidy place where cleanliness is a priority of the staff, who were quite hard working, making it so... read more

My wife ordered a hamburger and it was your normal hamburger. I made the mistake of ordering an open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant. The roast beef could not be cut with a knife against the grain. When I tried to eat it, it was like chewing on leather. My jaw... More

My mother and I traveled from Florence and stopped in to have what we thought would be a memorable visit. It was unfortunately for us it is a memory we could do without. The corned beef hash came to me after waiting for what felt like eternity. Having a cold plate was quite a surprise considering the food was crispy... More

We spent the afternoon in Butte, and stopped here for lunch. The place looks like it hasn't changed in years, and offers a look back at an older time. It's an old time diner, and a chance to see the way things were a few generations ago. We ordered the two classics from the menu: pasty and pork chop sandwich.... More

Saw this facility had good reviews so gave it a try, never had a Pasty before and gave it a try. Was pretty good, would have again but think i will try with just gravy instead of the chili next time.

This restaurant is a time travel experience. The vintage feel of this place will take you back in time when life was a little less busy. The menu is you basic coffee shop menu but there is one thing I highly suggest. The pasty smothered with gravy is their specialty and something one doesn't see on a menu often. Completely... More

Best breakfast in the area---this is where the locals come and eat! Great food with a very good value! This is an old time diner style cafe with beautiful wood furniture and bar. I highly recommend this local spot.

Over all the food was very very good. The service was friendly and efficient. HOWEVER, I have been there 4 times and 3 of those 4 times I had to listen to a wait staff, dark haired woman, yell at the kitchen staff, degrade the kitchen staff, come out to the dinning area and openly mock how helpless the "idiots"... Good, fresh food. Bacon was nice and thick and I really enjoyed the cottage potatoes -- just plain potatoes but nice & crispy. Service was very good too. The owner was very attentive & made sure we were happy customers.

Gamers has been a staple in Butte for decades. The staff always makes you feel welcome and the service is GREAT! I ate there 3 times on my visit this year and Paul and his family have the best breakfast and lunch in town. The charming diner/soda fountain decor is awesome. Great food excellent value. Highly recommend.
