We stopped in for a quick dinner and loved everything! They have a great beer selection, great local organic food and the prices were very reasonable! I would recommend this place to everyone!

A steak sandwich, not cut- Just a strip steak on Texas toast. The beef was amazing. Check out the specials- They are usually amazing too. The atmosphere is interesting as well. It is lie a hybrid fine/casual/bar/pool hall atmosphere- All at once!! It is really just sectioned off. It is also one of the few places open later in Bozeman.... More

Good ambience, large selection of food, consistently good service. The expanded outdoor seating area is a nice addition. Often hard to get a table without a reservation, but worth the wait. Good beer selection, too.

We stopped at Montana Ale Works for a late lunch/early dinner after stopping in and checking out a few other restaurants in downtown Bozeman. MAW attracted us because of its beer, interesting and inspired carnivore menu, and its welcoming and attractive atmosphere/decor. We stopped in around 4pm on a Tuesday as dark clouds were gathering. We left the stroller outside... More

Arrived in Bozeman with 2 others earlier in the day on a fishing trip and we were looking for a place for lunch. Remembered Montana Ale Works from 10 years earlier. The restuarant is located in an old building that was once a wharehouse or factory. We arrived early in the day and only patio seating is available. It was... More

Although it was a bit of a wait for a table (on Friday AND Sunday), it was worth it. We each had a different salad to start and all three were delicious. I had the bison meatloaf which was incredibly good. When our waiter brought over the dessert tray, I gave in and had the warm strawberry bread pudding. Waitstaff... More

This place was packed! We made reservations, which I recommend, and were seated right away when we got there. I had the rib eye steak with wild rice...if you're a steak lover, I highly recommend ordering the steak with rice...mmmmmm yummy!!!!! It was cooked to order, was seasoned well and super tender. All of their meats are locally raised. Hubby... More

Place is huge and the food is great! Nice selection of micro beers. I arrived on a Friday at 5pm and had a short wait of only15 minutes. The waitress was super. I really enjoyed her openness to small talk and recommendations. I had the pulled pork and it was delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable. When I get... More

Ate dinner here. They are only open for inside seating after 4pm but can dine outside on patio before. They did offer gluten free items which is a sometimes hard to find. Was able to seat our large group easily and the pool table entertained the younger ones until our dinner arrived. Maybe not the beat steak I ever ate... More

This restaurant is BUSY. We had a reservation which was a good thing. There are many large tables, and i is a huge space, so many large groups eat here, and this ramps up the noise level for sure. There are also three pool tables. The menu is great, and somewhat innovative. I had the Kobe burger from locally sourced... More
