Service and quality

Have eaten here a few times and been satisfied with service adn quality. Will probably go for either my husbands or my birthday since they offer a free entree to the birthday person with proof. Not many places that are in this catagory of dining offer free anything.

The food here wasn't that bad, but we definitely felt as if we paid way too much for our meal. We literally laughed when our dinners arrived because there was so little food. And the cost was what you'd expect to pay at a 5-start establishment. Pleasant enough atmosphere, clean & neat & friendly staff, but when we work hard... More

One of the many reasons I enjoy visiting Bozeman is the wide variety of eateries. Being a lively college town it has it all; fancy, plain, pricy, cheap, chains and independents. With so many good restaurants in town it’s always fun to discover a new one. I hadn’t been to the Bistro before so I gave it a shot. On... More

We took our 91 year old Uncle to this spot in downtown Bozeman for lunch. His usual spot is Perkins, but he was a good sport. We shared several appetizers - all delicious, beautifully prepared and ample servings. He'll be back - delighted with the variety, price and service. We certainly will stop there again whenever going through Bozeman!

I've eaten here about a half dozen times and I do have to say my most recent experience showed a decline in food quality. Service was outstanding, but my Super Food platter was inconsistent. Most of it was good, but one item was definitely over cooked ( the corn). The platter was only luke warm when served. The ahi appetizer... More

We stop for lunch each time we pass through Bozeman, because it has the most imaginative menu in town and actually thinks fresh vegetables and grains can be delicious. They offer a Super Food Platter that presents generous samples of several creative seasonal foods. Last week for example the Platter consisted of jumbo mushroom caps filled with eggplant ratatouille, caramelized... More

This place gets a lot of hype because out-of-towners are told the locals love it. So, being a local myself, I gave it three chances. Each was worst than the last. The atmosphere was quaint, but that's the only good thing I can report. The food was prepared with (apparently) fistfuls of seasonings, so we couldn't taste the meats that... More

John Bozeman's Bistro tries for a sophisticated dining experience and miss on practically every aspect. The booths are crowded, the table tops dirty and untidy. The menus are more what one would expect at a "greasy spoon." On our visit there wasn't anything we really wanted to eat but settled on an Argentinian-style fillet steak with chimichirri sauce. The plate... More

This time food was still great but the seating, table and condiment jars were simply not clean. It doesn't look like the staff wipes down bottles before serving or at least at the beginning of their shift. Hopefully this will be noted as I do like eating there when we are in town.

They have an inviting atmosphere. The food and their service is elegant and wonderful. The menu always has something new and delicious to try. Make a cozy booth reservation. Very romantic. Don't forget to save room for dessert, the Russian Raspberry Cream is a favorite, of ours.
