Wasn't impressed with the Bistro until last night when we went with a big group. The food was good, the service was good, it wasn't to loud and the server told us about some Happy Hour specials which we got and left us feeling taken care of. I will defiantly be back sonnet than the last time. So the Bistro... More

Friday night at 7:00 and the height of the dining hour. We had tried a couple of other places and were greeted with lengthy wait lists. We breezed in to the John Bozeman Bistro expecting another wait. Bruce met us at the host station with the dreaded question " do you have a reservation?". "No, we just got in to... More

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband while on a business trip to Bozeman. This place was recommended by friends and we were glad we made the effort to eat here. I had the fish and my husband had the shrimp - great presentation and attentive service. Wish I had room for dessert because I saw some go by... More

Had a lunch here. Had french onion soup, salad and a french dip sandwich. I couldn't believe how fresh they were. French onion soup really tasted like onion, not water downed at all. Lettuce was super fresh and crispy. Meat very tender and tasty. I don't know if they have their own farm or not but all the ingredients were... More

Visited this restaurant as I had a great meal here on a previous visit several years ago. Not so impressed this time. I had a steak which was well cooked but lacked flavour. The local beer was good.

We look forward to our dinners here. Food is fresh, just a bit different, but, not the extreme. I don't drink so I can't help you with the wine/beer choices. Service has always been friendly and efficient. This dinner was my favorite. Lamb lollipops with a balsamic glaze. Creamy white polenta, wilted spinach atop and a poached egg atop of... More

We finally got back there after 2 yrs. We found a changed menu with great choices. We were greeted and seated rather quickly w/o any reservation. We tend to go early though, even before the usual first seating. We began with a garden salad enough for sharing my husband ordered Paella which looked excellent and he verified that. I could... Love that they offer fresh, local food choices. Staff are polite and quick. They also have Birthday perks.

The waitress was both inattentive and rude. It took a very very long time to get our food and all we ordered were soups and salads. When we asked what the soup of the day was she said in a sarcastic tone, "well i thought you would have already been told that by the hostess." Then when my husband took an... More

I have been to lunch here many times, and I think it's getting better than it used to be, with the addition of more sustainably grown foods. I love the new salads - I had the Korean beef tips on my most recent visit and it was tasty, crunchy, spicy - and the beef was grass-fed and delicious. The superfood... More
