Had a lunch here. Had french onion soup, salad and a french dip sandwich. I couldn't believe how fresh they were. French onion soup really tasted like onion, not water downed at all. Lettuce was super fresh and crispy. Meat very tender and tasty. I don't know if they have their own farm or not but all the ingredients were... More

Visited this restaurant as I had a great meal here on a previous visit several years ago. Not so impressed this time. I had a steak which was well cooked but lacked flavour. The local beer was good.

We look forward to our dinners here. Food is fresh, just a bit different, but, not the extreme. I don't drink so I can't help you with the wine/beer choices. Service has always been friendly and efficient. This dinner was my favorite. Lamb lollipops with a balsamic glaze. Creamy white polenta, wilted spinach atop and a poached egg atop of... More

We finally got back there after 2 yrs. We found a changed menu with great choices. We were greeted and seated rather quickly w/o any reservation. We tend to go early though, even before the usual first seating. We began with a garden salad enough for sharing my husband ordered Paella which looked excellent and he verified that. I could... Love that they offer fresh, local food choices. Staff are polite and quick. They also have Birthday perks.

The waitress was both inattentive and rude. It took a very very long time to get our food and all we ordered were soups and salads. When we asked what the soup of the day was she said in a sarcastic tone, "well i thought you would have already been told that by the hostess." Then when my husband took an... More

I have been to lunch here many times, and I think it's getting better than it used to be, with the addition of more sustainably grown foods. I love the new salads - I had the Korean beef tips on my most recent visit and it was tasty, crunchy, spicy - and the beef was grass-fed and delicious. The superfood... More

In a true upscaling western town, the Bistro is a wonderful retreat into fine dining. The chef's creations are mouth watering and delightful. The atmosphere and service live up to what is expected in a fine restaurant.

It is sad to say but this was a good restaurant at one time, now, not so much. We started going to the Bistro because it was listed on the Western Sustainability Exchange website and participated in the Farm to Restaurant program. Four of us went for my wife's birthday and the service was good but that is were the... More

This restaurant has been in Bozeman since the 1970's. I have never been a fan but the last time might be the last. Always very noisy interior. Went with my Mother and Wife. Barley were able to get a booth with the place empty. Order the most expensive worst steak I have eaten in Montana, until I went to the... More
