Fantastic!!

We were told about Plonk from a local waitress. We heard to get the specials of the day because they were local ingredients the chef made that day. So the specials we got was the bottle of wine, trout dinner & the pork dinner. We also ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer. From the first... read more

Plonk had its moment a few years back, when it was the only posh option for first-dates. The signature cocktails are now mixed very inconsistently, even by the same bartender. Food prices are simply insulting, given the quality and service. The staff seem to be hired for their appearance and wardrobe, rather than any aptitude for the job. There are... More

Well, you know Bozeman has arrived when there is wine bar on Main and not just any wine bar, one in a historical building with beautiful tin ceiling intact. The wine selection was good, though a bit pricey. I didn't try any of the food, but the service was excellent.

I will start with the dead fly in the glass of cab franc. The service was terrible. Went in for a relaxing time and some wine. Wine list is limited by the glass. We ordered--2 red, 2 white. Order was put in. Eventually the two red delivered (not by our waitress), but no white wine. We saw it on the... More

Growing up in the area I frequented Plonk many times after they opened. I came back to MT for a visit this summer and my fiancee and family came here to celebrate our engagement. It didn't disappoint! The manager was incredibly kind, and the servers attentive - making recommendations and frequently checking that we were all set. This is a... More

On a homemade potato chip, which was on top of a thinly sliced golden beet, was blue crab that reminded me of the best lobster roll I ever had only better. If you are looking for good food, good drink (try the g.f.c. for sure) and warm friendly service do enjoy one of the best Bozeman has to offer.

I liked the space and the service, but should have stuck with the wine. The spring roll was fine, but nothing special. I have had many better versions of this dish at other restaurants. The beef skewers were not good. The meat was somewhat gristly. The broccoli pesto on it was not a success either. I would go back for... More

Plonk portrays itself as upscale and hip. I enjoy their inventive cocktails and tasty menu items. I strayed from my usual favorites and ask for "the house white".Hmm, What is this? The server said it was "Crane Lake". Yeow! That's "2 buck Chuck" The management can do better.

My husband and I (we're in our 30s) went to Plonk on a Wednesday night after a full day of fly fishing. It was a great setting for a relaxed evening of great drinks and food. The Plowmen's Platter is awesome and a great way to start the meal. The buffalo flank steak did not disappoint as the main course.... More

Plonk opened 13 years ago and instantly became my favorite bar west of NYC. The cocktail recipes are urbane and reasonably priced. The quality of the food raises the appropriate characterization of Plonk from bar to gastropub. The decor and space of Plonk make it perhaps the most perfect venue of for a bar I've ever visited. The sophisticated restaurant... More
