We went on a weekend, mistake! Food was very good, but took waaaaaaay too long. I understand it was a very busy day; very long wait for service, food and check. We had also no silverware to start eating once we received the food. There were two server outside and our server disappeared, we did not see her once after... More

Our party of 5 and a dog had lunch outside and were thoroughly charmed by the simple menu, friendly, chatty service, and good food. We talked local hikes with our wait staff and everyone enjoyed the burgers and sandwiches. The daily special was a screaming deal with a sandwich, potato salad and a sundae for a reasonable price.

Terrific family breakfast restaurant with reasonable prices, generous portions, and excellent service. The Bobcat special was delicious, especially the cinnamon roll French toast. Easily recommend. Don't let the modest exterior deter you from going in...The food and service are well worth it!

I had researched this cafe on trip advisor before we left. When we got there, the other 9 people with me did NOT want to go in. Moral of the story, never judge a book by its cover. The food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. It was almost closing time, and they welcomed us in and got... More

The Western is timeless! Such a great little cafe with amazingly huge cinnamon rolls, and the usual cafe breakfast and lunch items. Gets a little crowded sometimes, but that's part of the enjoyment.

This place is the read deal. I had heard about it for many years but my wife and I finally went in for breakfast. I guess I had the mistaken idea it was a "greasy spoon" type of place. I WAS WRONG! The place is very rustic and down home, and the staff is super friendly. And what a deal!... More

This breakfast café was a hit right from the start. There were waiting lines in every restaurant we check and finally after arriving at the Western we took a seat at the counter. The owner-manager, (can't remember her name)was really friendly, served us coffee and continued to come by to chat when possible. I told her she was so friendly... More

Yup. This place rocks. Great service. Seated quickly with a group of 6 on a Sunday morning. This never happens in Bozeman. Waitress super friendly. My coffee cup never ran dry. (See title.) Go here.

I've bragged about the breakfasts we used to get at the Western Cafe in the early 80's, and I am so happy to say I wasn't disappointed this am. I had my usual steak and eggs, my husband had a Philly. His was excellent and I was in memory lane heaven. Bravo!

This is my favorite place for breakfast. I usually get the same simple eggs and hash browns. But I've tried several dishes and they're all good. Super friendly staff, they all know our kids and ask about them when we don't bring them in.
