Would give it a 3.5

Highly recommended by local friend, we had dinner there. Portions were large and service was pretty good. However, food was just so-so, nothing special. Menu selection was good and place was clean. Just wish the food had a bit more style and taste.

Borries is a tradition in my family. It is where we spend our special occasions. The food is great and reasonably priced. We went recently and I had steamed prawns with half and half. Dinner included six prawns, baked potato, ravioli and spaghetti, soup and salad. The sauce is different, more of a gravy. It is delicious. The prawns were... More

I callled ahead for chicken, take-out, as I was "home alone" on a Friday night. January 30, 2014. I sat at the bar, gavethem my name and asked for a glass of wine. I then was treated to a sideshow of VERY unimpressive stature. The bar staff was so self absorbed and CLUELESS as to running a bar. I was... More

Was referred by a friend to try out Borrie's. Went once, will not go back. Food was lacking taste, cold and the wait staff was very detached from being of service.

We love to spend the evening at Borries. The staff is great. The pan fried chicken is one of my favorites! For fun time go early and have a drink at the bar. They make you feel like family!

We ate at Borrie's knowing it wouldn't be anything cutting-edge, but we wanted to try one of the old-line places in Black Eagle. Pros: wine/beer selection was decent and fairly priced. The old-fashioned interior was charming and well-maintained & staffed. Our group of five had salads, spaghetti, and steak. The green salads were better than expected, with exception that the... To get a feel for any city's character, wise travelers search out popular local eateries. Borrie's is such a place for road warriors finding themselves in Great Falls. The restaurant has been here since 1938. Don't skip the bar, a long one with colorful residents at the ready for engaging chit chat. Every kind of cuisine is served here --... More

If you are looking for modern and trendy, not the place to go. If you are looking for cheese filled raviolis and red sauce, not the place to go. However, if you enjoy meat based raviolis and sauce, for many people, this is the place. Recipe has not changed for decades. Love those raviolis and the sauce, which are from... More

Service was good, but the food was lacking. Their pasta sauce is more like chili than typical red sauce. Waitress was kind enough to give us a sample so we knew what we were getting into. Chicken soup also was not great. Stick to the steaks if you're going to eat here.
