To get a feel for any city's character, wise travelers search out popular local eateries. Borrie's is such a place for road warriors finding themselves in Great Falls. The restaurant has been here since 1938. Don't skip the bar, a long one with colorful residents at the ready for engaging chit chat. Every kind of cuisine is served here --... More

If you are looking for modern and trendy, not the place to go. If you are looking for cheese filled raviolis and red sauce, not the place to go. However, if you enjoy meat based raviolis and sauce, for many people, this is the place. Recipe has not changed for decades. Love those raviolis and the sauce, which are from... More

Service was good, but the food was lacking. Their pasta sauce is more like chili than typical red sauce. Waitress was kind enough to give us a sample so we knew what we were getting into. Chicken soup also was not great. Stick to the steaks if you're going to eat here.

The service was good. The raviolli was awful :( If you like your raviolli to taste like it came out of a can smothered in bbq sauce, then you might like it. The bread sticks were so hard you would have had a hard time driving a nail through one! The house wine was a decent Chianti.

The first time I came here I disliked the sauce. I'm Italian and I know you must get the sauce right in order for the pasta to be good. Apprarently the the sauce they used to serve was from a specific region of Italy(I would have had to get used to it maybe). It seemed they changed the recipe and... More

Borrie's is pretty unassuming and used to be the restaurant for smelter workers in the heyday but still caters to the blue collar/ranching crowd. Although billed as an Italian restaurant, it is more a great steak house with Italian side dishes. Their minestroni soup is a great crowd pleaser but you Italian food purists beware-- it does not taste like... More

I used to live 5 blocks away when I was very young. Although I moved away many years ago to 4 different states, whenever I returned to Great Falls, one evening, at least, was devoted to a Deluxe Chicken Dinner at Borries. The house salad dressing is my personal favorite, a rich, piquant mix with a hint of anchovies, The... More

Kind of scary to think what might be in the food here. Very dark lighting. I had the prime rib which tasted great but was way too large to eat at one seating. Half would have been good. Hubby had spaghetti but hated the sauce. It was a brown color (what we could see of it in the dark) and... More
