Artwork, lighting, and music all contributed to great place for visiting with friends during dinner.

Nice atmosphere although it can noisy. No comparison to the steaks. Can get pricey.Early reservations are the best

Business traveller, down the street from my hotel. Busy, lively crowd of local business folks and families, parking lot was packed on a Wednesday night. Sat at the bar, bartender was average but enthusiastic, had the walleye and it was good, could have been better. Enjoyed my visit, should have ordered the ribeye.

I always try and eat at Jake's....the food is good and nice selection to choose from...like to eat in the bar for a casual dinner....the peppercorn filet is a wonderful choice if it's just crushed peppercorns on steak.....if you accidentally get the peppercorn sauce, not too great.....fish tacos are outstanding! I went to Jakes while staying in Billings. We were looking for a nice steak and quiet dinner and didn't really get either. We ate in the dining room and were seated at a table crammed into a corner to the point where we actually had to move the table to get in and out of that side of it.... More

We had a party of 12 and the service was outstanding. The food was terrific. Steaks , prime rib and fish selections were all great. Tasty appies as well.

The bar is a little dark and I had to send my drink back twice because the taste was off (I ordered a vodka and cranberry juice and I think the cranberry juice must've been bad). But, the prime rib for dinner was very good. We went back a second time for dinner with friends and sat in the restaurant.... More

I didn't have a reservation on a Friday night, but as a single, they found me a table and it wasn't by the kitchen. The place was packed, but the service was good. Had dinner with our business group. I had the ribeye with veggies which was delicious. They did overcook it the first time but the corrected one was out in under 5 minutes. The cheese and beer soup was out of this world good. Chocolate cake was big enough for four people and really good.
