What a Great Surprise Find!

We found When In Rome had been listed as the #1 pizza in Montana by Food Network so we decided to stop. What a good decision! They have authentic Naples pizza using a proper pizza oven. When in Rome doesn't look all that impressive from the road but don't let first impressions fool you! Their pizza is very good and other Italian dishes were enjoyed by our friends. The atmosphere is a little more refined than your standard Montana casual. A nice change of pace.

The restaurant is located in a little strip mall which was off-putting to me at first but once you walk inside you feel like you are in an upscale restaurant. I ordered pizza & my boyfriend ordered the osso bucco. Both were delicious. He ordered a salad as well & it was huge! Big enough for 2 definitely. Their portions... More

The restaurant is kind of small and is in a strip mall, but their food was delicious. Our waitress was very personable and friendly and gave us some good suggestions. My husband and I split a Greek salad, which was huge and yummy. I got a pizza, with a basil pesto sauce instead of the traditional tomato sauce. The flavor... More

We were visiting Glacier Park last week, when two women told us about "When in Rome" in Bigfork. We walked through the cute downtown area of Bigfork on Monday evening and heard additional raves about the restaurant. We jumped back into our car and headed back to the highway on the outskirts of town where we had seen the little... More

As an Italian, and a connoisseur of the cuisine, this intimate restaurant hidden in a strip mall puts my own Italian-born Nona (that's grandmother in Italian) to shame. Bar none this place has the best Bruschetta I have ever eaten in my life! That includes little Italy in NY and SF, and the real deal, ROME itself!

We stopped in on our way headed south from Glacier. The location is very convenient as it is right off the highway. We loved the margarita pizza! Also it was decorated very nice and felt cozy. The cork wall in the bathroom was a nice touch!

Excellent selection of Italian wineries, very good pizzas, pastas, and the best of Greek appetizers and salads. Service was excellent. They were very accommodating when we arrived without a reservations.

Was hesitant to try this place after reading some pretty bad reviews, but overall I am now glad I went. Our food was served quickly and was pretty good. The lasagna was a little heavy on the sausage and the bruschetta we got for an appetizer would have been a little better with some mozzarella. But other than that it... More

A small unpretentious place in a strip mall that serves great pizza and pasta. The place is usually packed. Does not serve lunch. They also have a small pizza only place in Kalispell.
