This is my third time at ByWOM and will likely be my last. First time, OK service was overcome by great food. The last two times the service has gotten worse. The food is still good but when so many other restaurants in Big Sky seem so appreciative of your business I don't know why I would go back. A... More

Had the local trout and loved it. Place was a little noisy but was there with 7 other people so it didn't matter to me. Everyone else was happy with their dinners.

Had dinner here on our first night in Big Sky, and were very pleased. The room is very comfortable, and actually has real art (no pictures of bison or bears) on the walls. Menu is interesting, and service is good. Had an excellent fresh trout with a quinoa side dish that was absolutely off the charts. Duck is also quite... More

BYOM is a moderately priced restaurant which gives you good value. Excellent calamari starter. Beef is always good. Nightly wine specials are fun to try. The only problem is that noise can become a problem as the tables fill. We go early.

We ate here last year when we were out and loved it so much that we went back another night. This year we were excited to go back and were not disappointed. My portobello plate was awesome and my husband really liked his ribeye.

We had dinner there last night. Delicious variety, escargot in mushroom caps, salad, great sushi, an amazing lamb entrée, my total favorite. Started out with a basil martini, delicious, and a great bottle of Cote de Rhone and then a fabulous molten chocolate cake with homemade ice cream. Great service thanks to Blair Elliot. It was busy at the bar... More

We have eaten here a few times every winter. This year we were very disappointed. Very poor service and food quality has declined. Favorite dish was their osso bucco. This year it was a massive pork bone with a few errant gnocchi and not one tablespoon of sauce. Someone is tired of this business.

We have a house in big sky and have been skiing here for about 20 years. We understand we are not locals but we pump a lot of money into the economy of Big Sky. I found the review about the locals being treated better interesting because that is exactly how we felt at this restaurant. We made a reservation,... More

We were pretty offended to be led to a dark table in the back, left alone for 10 minutes without service and blatently ignored while other more "important" tables were doted on. This is typical with these types of bistros, but know what you're walking into if you don't look the part. We walked out without ordering so will not... More

I have been to By Word Of Mouth at least a dozen times and, to be honest, have not enjoyed the food. BUT.....the martinis are phenomenal, in articular, the Basil Martini and the St Germaine Specialty Cocktail. I want to like BWOM but it is disappointing. I hope they will improve.
