Best meals on the mountain

Were wandering around looking for a place to eat and came across the scissorbills saloon. Seems like a local hangout. Loud music sometimes live. Ping pong table. The best meatloaf that I have ever had. The pot Pie is very special well. Worth the time.

So there burgers are good and the drink where the way I like them "cheap" but come on the kitchen staff has some skills they could at-least make some real Mac and Cheese and not just Kraft from a box for the kids! Fried green tomatoes excellent.

Every ski town has a locals bar, but only a few are this welcoming to visitors. We first went in for breakfast and were impressed with the friendly, attentive service and the food. Went back three times for afternoon drinks and were again impressed by the service and the food. Everything is fixed in house (including the nacho cheese sauce)... More

As a local this is the only spot I will head to after skiing. Friendly staff, great food, awesome drinks! They just started breakfast on the weekends which is also excellent. Lots of nights they do live music, prices much friendlier than the competition, check it out!

Great music and great atmosphere. The food was excellent too. We went back, even with so many other spots to try.

Best tomatoe soup I have EVER had. Don't eat in the crowded base resteraunt, but rather walk across the parking lot, and eat at Scissorbills Saloon. Nice owners, too!

Scissor Bill's Saloon has great food, great drinks, cold beers and awesome service! We have been taking large groups of skiers from Orlando Florida to Big Sky for many many years and we can always count on consistently great eats and service. We never get enough of this place! <3

Our ski club (from Orlando) has been going to Big Sky for 15+ years. Scissorbills is everything you want from Pub at the base of the slopes. Great food, some good local microbrews on tap, and really friendly staff! The owner allowed our club to schedule a lunch and Apres' at the pub. The staff worked their butt off of... More

Tried ScissorBills twice. Once for lunch, once for dinner. The server seemed overwhelmed by the 8 of us ordering food and asking for separate tabs. In fact, she refused. There were a total of 10 of us eating in the bar. Food was ok value if you are willing to wait. We visited again for dinner with a group of... More
