Scissor Bill's Saloon has great food, great drinks, cold beers and awesome service! We have been taking large groups of skiers from Orlando Florida to Big Sky for many many years and we can always count on consistently great eats and service. We never get enough of this place! <3

Our ski club (from Orlando) has been going to Big Sky for 15+ years. Scissorbills is everything you want from Pub at the base of the slopes. Great food, some good local microbrews on tap, and really friendly staff! The owner allowed our club to schedule a lunch and Apres' at the pub. The staff worked their butt off of... More

Tried ScissorBills twice. Once for lunch, once for dinner. The server seemed overwhelmed by the 8 of us ordering food and asking for separate tabs. In fact, she refused. There were a total of 10 of us eating in the bar. Food was ok value if you are willing to wait. We visited again for dinner with a group of... More

Scissor Bills is located on the 3rd floor of a building close to the base of the hill. We visited Scissors a couple of times for apres ski drinks during our recent ski vacation to Big Sky. The bartenders were friendly and provided great customer service. They also serve bar food and we found the nachos, wings, sliders and corn... More

Definitely a local's spot with live music. Not really a place to eat per se, mores just hangout, have some local beer, and rub shoulders with the young local resort staff.

Menu is a bit limited (mostly 'bar food'), but everything I had there was very good. The bar was a lot of fun and the bartenders and staff were great.

Nothing beats having corn nuggets and a burger prepared by true shredders. We actually love this bar in winter and think they make great bar food. The Fritos dish is gastronomic porn. They've got some decent drink specials and sometimes pretty good music that doesn't blow out our eardrums. You see all types here and that suits us just fine. I mentioned to a friend that we were eating at Scissorbills. She said to try the corn nuggets. Creamed sweet corn deep fried. So wrong on so many levels but so good- they were a hit with our group. Glad this bar/restaurant is nowhere near my house- as that should be limited to a few times a year. Good food,... More

Here's the secret. In trying to move away from so many fried foods the Corn Nugs are not on the menu, BUT we have them. You just need to ask for them and we will be happy to deliver Hope to see you again this winter. Thanks for the review. More

I'm not sure why my experience is so different to most other posters, but I found this place to be a dive bar with few patrons, unappealing decor and absolutely no atmosphere. I went twice, the first time I left because the place was empty. The second time I returned because of the good reviews here, but again there were... More

Thanks for the review. I was happy to hear that the food and service treated you well, however with the decor I understand that the inviting feel of the space needs to be welcoming. I have worked hard over the summer to update fixtures and paint and heat. I think that on your next trip you should stop in and... More

Spouse & I visited weeknight after a day of full day of skiing when usually every restaurant tastes great. trip. Place was virtually empty so rough bar decor was obvious. Burgers came out raw first time.... flavorless meal in general. Minimal menu of burgers wings, fried everything, etc. was cheaper than hotel restaurants but still more expensive than restaurants along... More

Thanks for the review. I have done several updates to the bar for the winter opening and think that the next time you are in town that you will be please that the rough decor was updated with new chairs and seating areas, paint, fixtures heat, and we have refined our menu. We have moved away from so many fried... More
