Good, not great

Big Sky fine dining is a bit behind in sophistication, as this place demonstrates. The staff is friendly, but has no expertise. The food is good, and the surroundings comfortable and pleasant. Hopefully they can kick it up a notch, as the location inside the Summit Hotel is the most convenient if... read more

Had a wonderful dinner with family here 2 weeks ago. Food was all done perfectly. We all went for the bone-in Cowboy ribeye and it did not disappoint. Have not eaten here in years and I definitely notice improved service and overall visit experience was great. Appears there is a new manager since last we ate here. make a reservation... More

Arrived late into Big Sky and after looking at a few options, dined at Peaks. The restaurant is centrally located in the Mountain Village near the slopes/hotels which is convenient. I was very impressed with the cuisine which was mostly regional fare--when you're in Montana, take advantage of the local meat options. The Elk and Bison options were delicious and... More

I have been to some of the restaurant of Big Sky and this is my favorite. Large choice of wine, scallops were awesome. More pricey than Carabiner which I also recommend.

We went to Peaks for Valentines day. All around a very lovely evening. Delicious oyster amuse bouche. Had the wedge salad which was fresh delicous and "retro". The lobster special was very good with a carrot risotto which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dessert what beautiful and delicous. Service excellent. Will come back

Our group of 20+ family/friends dine this time of year somewhere at Big Sky. In the past, it's been an evening experience; this year we tried something new... a luncheon buffet in the Peaks. The "convenience" of this venue cannot be overstated.... It is slopeside. So, we all skied in the AM, "parked" our skis/boards, and relaxed at our prearranged... More

Enjoyed the complimentary duck patee and vermouth. Entrees very good. Brussel sprourt appetizer so so. Service very good! We would go back.

We have become accustomed to good restaurants in nice hotels...not here! They were out of the first 3 items we tried to order. The wine list was mediocre at best. The good news is nice ambiance, ok food on the dishes they do have, and serves until 10pm (but do expect to be subtlety nudged to leave).

Christmas week ski vacation in Big Sky Montana; what a beautiful and rugged place. Got about 36" snow that week; Fireworks and light ceremony coming down the mountain just outside the restaurant; setting the background; Christmas Eve dinner and was recommended by concierge at lodge we stayed at; he recommended 3; 2 out of 3 were on target. unfortunately Peaks... I visited the Peaks towards the end of the 2014 ski season with some friends after a long day of skiing Big Sky Resort and a lively aprés at the neighboring Carabiner Lounge. While I had no expectations walking in to this fine dining establishment still wearing my ski clothes, our party was greeted with the same gusto we would... More
