Don't miss Lone Mountain Ranch Dining Room

This is a place not to miss, a dude ranch that serves non guests for lunch and for dinner with reservations, if space available. They also have a breakfast buffet open to non guests. Lunch is casual and good. Dinner is more of a gourmet affair and priced accordingly but worth it. Dining options in... read more

We had a great waitress from Georgia with a fun German accent. The food was well crafted with heart and enough culinary adventure to keep one guessing. Bison short ribs were applauded. Soups were really good. The setting is typical Montana but quite airy. For a more gourmet experience with downhome sensibilities, this is the place to go in Big... More

VERY disappointed. Brought 16 ski club members to restaurant. Very small portions for big price. Mediocre flavor, lousy presentation, no creativity. I am a vegetarian, ordered cauliflower steak and I literally got a slab of cauliflower roasted. Both my husband and I returned home only to dig in refrigerator for a meal. Would never go to this restaurant again!

Wary about events like this, I was happily impressed. The entire staff was pleasant and genuine. The sleigh ride authentic bringing you quickly to a log cabin, heated by kerosine lantern, with a wood burning stove that kept the entire cabin quite warm given to low outside temperature. Prime rib was the menu item served family style on long tables... More

A great evening & meal. This was the highlight of our vacation. You start the evening by checking in at 6pm and then fill the time visiting and purchasing drinks at the lodge till 6:45. Then you go out and climb onto draft-horse drawn sleighs (12 people each) for a15 minute ride up to the dinner cabin that holds up... More

I was passing through the Big Sky area, on my way back to Central California. It was suggested I eat at Lone Mountain. I'm glad I did! The food was better then some places I had been to in LA! I am die-hard well done steak kind of gal and the Chef convinced me, that a steak done right, should... More

It's rare that a restaurant delivers exceptional food and service but this place knocked it out of the park! This was the best time we've had eating out as a family in a long time. The food was beautiful, creative yet classic and delicious! The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The duck special was mind blowing.... Best seared duck... More

First they could not find our reservaltion. My husband and daughter ordered the special elk tenderloin. It was burned. We sent it back. Then they tell us they have no more elk. We ordered bison short ribs and they were cold. Overall it was terrible. We have been many times before but we will not go back. It was also... More

For families, they've made it so easy with a buffet for the kids for lunch and dinner. Mornings are a buffet with something for everyone. My 8 year old became tempted by the dishes we were ordering and decided to branch out and order off the menu. He became such a fan of their fresh trout dish he ordered it... More
