Severely Underrated

My family and I live in MT for the summer every year- and nothing is better after a long day hike than a warm meal from China Cafe. Family owned, great service- definitely a hit. Don't miss it if you're craving hearty Asian cuisine.

To start off, this is a family owned/operated establishment. To my surprise, the owners are CU alums! GO BUFFS! The service was quick and the food, in turn, is served extremely hot. Almost to the point where you have to wait for your food to cool off. Of course I didn't because the food was so delicious. Location is usually... More

Such amazing flavors. Nice laid back atmosphere. Family style dishes with all kinds of levels of heat and flavor. Good carry out.

We had take out. The breading on the "general's chicken" was bland and and tasteless and so much of it that it all fell off the microscopic chicken pieces. The hot and sour soup had only julienned slices of tofu, nothing else. We had the wonton soup. Nothing inside the one wonton in the soup. The rest of the items... More

5 adults and 4 kids, perfect efficient service and excellent food. We ordered 8 different dishes, All arrived timely which was very helpful when children are waiting. We all ate to our hearts content and still had some to take home.

Actually, I used to avoid Chinese food at all costs because it is usually so salty and unnaturally shiny. I have been in Big Sky for a few years now and have been hesitant to try China Cafe, but one night we had nothing planned for dinner and my husband suggested we finally try it. I am so glad we... We get take out. The combination fried rice is great. Very friendly owners and good value. Cashew chicken and king pao pork is also good.

Good solid chinese food. Service was excellent and very much appreciated their fresh veggies and low use of fat and no MSG. Reasonable prices.

We enjoyed this food so much, we went back a second time in 2 days. The food was hot, and had a nice spiciness to it, just as advertised. The vegetarian dishes are usually bland, but this place took pride in them, and was much better than most Chinese restaurants in larger cities. We took out both times, but dining... More

Friendly staff. They opened earlier than hours posted and when we asked if we were too early they stated they were delighted to serve us. Food was delicious!
