The Cabin Bar and Grill was recommended to us and so we decided to check it out. The food was WAY OVER PRICED; I have never paid this much for a meal and received so little food. My husband and I decided to share a meal ( a 16 oz. Rib-eye) and we each received three small asparagus spears, about... More

Having eaten a big brunch earlier in the day we stopped in for a lighter dinner. We ordered a few appetizers, soup and salad. No deep fried frozen food here. Everything was freshly prepared with quality ingredients. The menu is small but with a variety of choices focusing on local cuisine. The atmosphere is pleasant with a large outside view.... More

We ate here about a exhausting hike to the Lone Peak and the food was such a comfort after a long day. We had a center cut NY strip and buffalo steak and both were just delicious. The sides and veggies were above average. I definitely recommend this place.

We have tried many of the restaurants in Big Sky. Normally we drive all the way to the meadow to dine. We tried this based on reviews. Food was fresh and cooked perfectly, portions are good size. Wine list was much bigger than I expected. Service was fantastic. This is a family owned business so would definitely suggest trying it.... More

Traveled to Big Sky for a conference. The Cabin was a bit hidden in the base area, but WELL worth the trip. Has a much more down home and MT feel than other options in the base area. Great food, great service.

Went last week with a group of 9. Wine list is very good and a good selection of beers, bourbons, etc. If you are looking for an elegant place to try elk chops, bison flank steak or trout this is the place to go. They are open during the summer months and during ski season - any other time make... More

Great mountainside dining experience overall. Menu is somewhat limited compared to many restaurants but this is not necessarily a weakness, seems like they try to focus on top-notch regionally-available food. Face it, restaurants like this one in small-town Montana might not have the best coastal seafood but they do have some really nice options. We opted for the elk medallions... More

Food was pretty good, however we were somewhat misled by the menu posted on Trip Advisor. Prices were significantly higher and selection far more limited. Not really great for a family.

I am a resident of Big Sky and yet had never tried the Cabin. We had a group dinner here and the service was perfect. No one felt unattended to but also not rushed. There is a very good wine list and we all enjoyed our dinners especially the walleye with lump crabmeat in a beurre blanc sauce and the... More
