Deserves to be popular.

If you are not staying at the resort, parking is a pain. Food has been really good for years and this was no different. They need to continue to be consistent and deliver. The server DID NOT earn the automatic gratuity thrown onto our bill for the party size.

Phenomenal food and even better service. This restaurant is tucked away but not to be missed. They specialize in wild game. The elk and bison specials are always excellent. The owner/manager sees to all your needs and is always willing to go the extra mile to make your meal the best you will have in Big Sky.

This is my favorite place on the mountain. We eat here once every year. My favorite (and only meal I order) is the Twin Tip Filets - with a wine/butter sauce. YUM! It is an upscale place but you may dress very casual. They have done a nice job blending high end food but the place doesn't feel pretentious. You... More

I have been to Big Sky every year since 2004 for a conference every year and Cabin is my go-to restaurant. The review is in two parts: one for lunch and one for dinner. Lunch Review: This is essentially a ski-in, ski-out restaurant. Off of "Silver Knife" run, you can ski right to top a little ramp; put your skis... More

As more and more quality restaurants are added to the area, The Cabin will either need to up its game or disappear. it is "ok" food in a less than attractive building.

Don't let the decor fool you -- this place has GREAT food! One of our best dining experiences. The Elk Tips are outstanding! Good wine menu and attentive wait staff. We had Christmas dinner there and it was a wonderful choice!!

We have been to the Cabin every time we have visited Big Sky. You must make reservations for dinner, but there is a small bar area to wait if you don't have reservations. Very nice dinner menu selection and some good wines. Personally I would not take small children here espcially after a long day skiing. Dress is casual. Our... More

We called in for a drink and stayed the night. We sat at the bar and Daniel kept us entertained and educated about Montana. Had the game and cheese plate which included rattlesnake- a surprising delight. The bison was delicious but our recommendation is the Montana mule served in copper cups!!!
