5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2015 NEW

Selecting a restaurant at a resort is always a challenge, but after trying several other premium spots during a week's stay in Big Sky, we tried The Cabin and were quite impressed. The table was ready and waiting when we arrived, service was attentive but not overbearing, and the food was outstanding. The bison was cooked and seasoned to perfection,... More

There is little ambiance and the food is very expensive. The elk and bison were so tough that we chewed forever. They tried to seem fancy but they were not. I would not go here.

I have been coming to Big Sky for 5 years. I have had dinner at least twice in every restaurant on the mountain and in the valley. And by far the very best of the BEST! on the mountain is the Cabin. I have read every review from terrible and poor and I do not agree with any of them.... More

Our family of 5 loved every dish we ordered. Bison steak, elk medallions, bison and venison ravioli...it was all delicious!

Staying at The Village Center and decided to go back to this place. We visit it 2 years ago. My last review was probably a little rough on their decor but the second time I felt it was warm and cozy. I realize this is not Vail. The Staff is very friendly and our food was excellent. My husband had... More

My husband and I took a short get away vacation and found this jewel! The food is amazing and the service was top notch too. We tried another restaurant one evening and we were disappointed. So we stuck to the best and went back 2 more evenings. There is also a beautiful view of the ski slope. If you are... More

We have been going to Big Sky every winter for about 10 years, and stop nearly every day for lunch at the Cabin - and most days after ski too. It's a convenient ski-in ski-out location. The owners are terrific, the food and ambience are good Montana fare, and the wine selection is excellent. (And so is the water.) The... More

Went there last week with my wife and young kid. And I have been here before but adults only, now they have a very acceptable children menu, which helps when going to a fairly expensive restaurant. The location is central to the mountain village in Big Sky next door to the Summit hotel, and ski in and out if you... More

We had a nightmare trip flying up to Montana, arrived 8 hours after our original arrival time. Then had to drive over an hour to get to our destination. When we arrived at the resort we were desperate just hoping some place would be open and we wouldn't need reservations. So we chose this place just because it was the... More

I understand that it's off season for the resort, but dining selections are very limited. Most places close before 9, so we were left with this option. Service was fine. The atmosphere was very outdated and uncomfortable. Food was below average. Over priced. Steaks mediocre. Would not recommend this place. The staff was very kind though.
