Awesome food

Went last week with a group of 9. Wine list is very good and a good selection of beers, bourbons, etc. If you are looking for an elegant place to try elk chops, bison flank steak or trout this is the place to go. They are open during the summer months and during ski season - any other time... read more

Great mountainside dining experience overall. Menu is somewhat limited compared to many restaurants but this is not necessarily a weakness, seems like they try to focus on top-notch regionally-available food. Face it, restaurants like this one in small-town Montana might not have the best coastal seafood but they do have some really nice options. We opted for the elk medallions... More

Food was pretty good, however we were somewhat misled by the menu posted on Trip Advisor. Prices were significantly higher and selection far more limited. Not really great for a family.

I am a resident of Big Sky and yet had never tried the Cabin. We had a group dinner here and the service was perfect. No one felt unattended to but also not rushed. There is a very good wine list and we all enjoyed our dinners especially the walleye with lump crabmeat in a beurre blanc sauce and the... More

Don't let the look of this restaurant/bar fool you. Been here several times. Great service and the food has never disappointed. Very good appetizers and burgers. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

One would expect if you are purchasing a $52 bison rib eye and you order mushrooms and onions that there wouldn't be a $4 charge for each and just a small amount served with the bison. The ambiance was more for families, with kids running around unattended, tall ceilings that made sound travel and not well appointed for décor. More... More

Have been to Big Sky skiing 3 times and this spot - which is trail side - is just terrific. Great owner, the place is well run, excellent staff. We stop in at happy hour for apres ski, and then do dinner there at least once during the stay. The dinners are fabulous -- different fare with local ingredients and... More

We LOVED this place. We walked over to it from our lodging - and sooo glad we did. It is not large, so make sure you have reservations! They had a very interesting and fun variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. We had the white bean with sage soup and it was outstanding. I love to cook and wanted that... More

We stop for lunch while on the hills whenever we are in Big Sky. Never have to wait for a table. Great casual atmosphere. Food really delicious and like "home cooking" . This time I had the elk bison burger with bacon. Honestly one of the best burgers. Well charred on the outside and soooo juicy inside. The bacon is... More

We are here during our stay in Big Sky. It was recommended by some people we met at the hot tub so we decided to give it a try. It had terrific lamb and good seafood. The prices were reflective of a high end restaurant so we were taken back by the very casual decor / ambience and felt more... More
