Good home cooking

Good, home cooking in family friendly atmosphere. My teenagers and I ate here for breakfast. Everything was very good and fresh. Only drawback is that smoking is still allowed in restaurants in this town.

Was really awful, they allow smoking still, the waitress used profanity talking with another table within earshot of my 6 year old... not so much. Food was so so at best, my burger was burnt. Won't be back, disappointed as this is my home town!

The White Rose has excellent breakfast and a wonderful friendly staff. The food is always well prepared and ready quickly. They keep your coffee cup full. The prices are very reasonable. It is home cooking like you dream about. It is one of those kind of places that you hear about by word of mouth where people have been going... More

Small little place with friendly staff, great food and family friendly pricing. Can't complain about a thing we had here.

It's okay - clean enough, quick enough service, lots of local color. I've only eaten there twice, both times for breakfast. It was average. Instant oatmeal. "Spread," not butter. Just a bit dull. Not my cup of tea - or diner coffee, in this case.

This is the typical small-town Mom and Pop restaurant and I have never had anything bad here from breakfast to supper. A good place to eat!

I eat here almost daily. The waitresses and service are probably the best in Union. This café is conveniently located right off the historic courthouse square and has been a mainstay of the city for decades. One room is smoking another is non-smoking. The food ranges from hamburgers to steaks. The chef is not afraid to develop new dishes that... More

Food is decent and prices are reasonable, but I agree that it does need updating. Not much room to walk around without bumping into someone

If you're looking for an authentic diner experience, this is the place. The diner food-menu is pretty decent and the service is always good. Fun.
