Excellent place for a dinner meeting

We have enjoyed Cafe Napoli in Clayton and decided to try out Napoli 2 for our anniversary dinner since it's closer to our Chesterfield home. We were very disappointed. We expected the meal to be costly but we also expected quality and ambiance in return. First, while the atmosphere is romantic it is very loud and dark (to the point... More

I have been there many times, the food always good, each evening they have chef selections and always comes with fresh seafood, beef, lamb, etc. different choices. Services are good, owner is very friendly.

One noticeable thing about this excellent restaurant is the acoustics in the dining room. This restaurant apparently went to great lengths to make sure that you could easily converse at the table. Unlike many other restaurants which are so noisy I refused to return to them because you just cannot enjoy your meal the noise is so loud. This place... More

Not what I would call an Italian restaurant. Definite shades of a high end steak house, with your server showing you expensive hunks of protein on a Saran wrapped platter, and prices to match. I ordered Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare, expecting plenty of mussels and clams in the shell, and maybe prawns and scallops. Instead I got a pile of... More

While high-end Italian isn't our first choice when dining out, we were happy to attend as guests here and pleasantly surprised at just how well they did everything on this visit. Great service, fantastic food for all ten of us, and went the extra mile when our host's entree didn't meet expectations. Our server, Quentin, exemplified quiet dignity and delivered... More

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. We live across the street and have wanted to go here for a long time. It is pricey...but your paying for the experience..meaning excellent service and excellent food. Everything tasted fresh and handmade. The bread was warm and the butter even tasted like they made it from scratch. Pasta is handmade in-house.... More

I'm normally not at a loss for words, but as the manager at Napoli 2 came by our table last night to see if we were satisfied with our meal, I constructed some barely intelligible string of reverent adjectives and juvenile observations that made him smile and consider calling the paramedics. This was our second meal in a month at... More

We haved lived in St. Louis for 5 years now and this is the best restaurant in town without a doubt. Every morsel of food is delicious and to be savored say with your favorite wine. What food would we suggest...everything. I love the meatball appetizer...yummy, with great red sauce. The Sea Bass with a bit of balsamic drizzeled on... More

Excellent bar, good staff, good atmosphere. Restaurant is divided into several rooms so it always seems full and it usually is, reservation strongly recommended. Food is consistently very good and staff is always attentive. Best liver and onions anywhere is the world!
