We had a wonderful dinner at John Mineos. My husband had the Tenderloin Napoletano and I had the Chicken Involtini. We were extremely happy with both our choices. The service was a little slow but the dinner made up for it. Really a fine restaurant for a special dinner!

We recently dined here with another couple and it was terrific. The weather was unexpectedly beautiful so we decided to sit outside on tge patio. The meal was fantastic, wine was really good and their desssert "brown squirrels" out of this world! We will definitely be back.

St. Louis is full of mediocre Italian restaurants, and some are pretty good.. John Mineo's is about average but it's heading into mediocrity. I like the atmosphere and the waiters, but the food is not worth it. I ordered a shrimp and crabmeat salad for about $13 and all they put on the plate were 4 shrimp and a tablespoon... More

This was our first time eating here. We had a Groupon and decided to try it. Our food was very good but the server did not tell us about specials-- we heard him telling other customers after we had ordered. He did not ask if we wanted dessert either. We were glad we tried it but not in a hurry... More

What a wonderful place to eat Italian food. I ordered one of the specials which was sea bass and it was just fantastic and prepared so well. It is a family owned restaurant with papa, sons running the place. We have never had a bad meal here, from the seafood, which is very fresh to the steak or the pasta.... More

My husband and I visited Mineo's on a Wednesday night. Had made reservations three days ahead. Decor is formal, but staff was very friendly as were some of the other customers at nearby tables. My husband had the Veal Liver that was absolutely delicious. He had a side order of pasta. I had the Veal Marsala and it was also... More

John Mineo's is an Italian restaraunt like you alway hope to dine at. Papa oversees everything to ensure service and food meet his standards. I can't imagine anything has ever fallen short based on my experiences. We always enjoy outstanding meals there and enjoy the top shelf service. We always look forward to the next time...

First of all we were greeted by John's cocky son John Jr. I should of known then what we were in for. The waiters and himself could of used there attire cleaned and pressed. There was stains all over them. For being such a HIGH PRICED restaurant, I really expected a lot more. They were not professional at all from... More

definitely old school charm. picture heavy mirrors, startched table clothes & a very intimate atmosphere. tux-clad waiters who finish preparing your meal table side (french service) service was a bit relaxed for the atmosphere - ie: he was talking to another waiter while opening our wine, leaned his hands on our table as he spoke to us...and all the servers...
