Bongo's restaurant at Stockton Lake is a very unique dining experience. The meals are excellently prepared and served professionally. I have never been disappointed after years of dining at Bongo's for special occasions or just a casual dinner. The restaurant closed for awhile by the owners, but has been reopened by the chef this past summer.

We love Italian food, so we decided to try Bongo's! We didn't realize you needed to make reservations, but luckily they had one table open for us. It's a charming little place, only about 10 tables in all. Our waitress was pleasant enough, & we got our cold drinks super fast. But the quick service ended there. We waited for... More

Going to Stockton Lake from KC, my wife and I ate at Bongo’s a couple of years ago. The place was busy (popular) I remember rather crowded during a 7ish-8ish dinner time. But we enjoyed it and wanted to go back sometime. We did go back, as part of our B&B weekend, this mid-June 2014, arriving around 9 pm. Once... More

Bongo's used to be my favorite place close by to relax, drink a great bottle of wine with my meal and just enjoy the great food. Alas, they have closed the restaurant, but continue the tradtion of fantastic food by keeping the Pizza kitchen going. You can order it to have it hot and ready when you pick it up,... More

From the outside you just aren't sure what you will get. We had the pizza this week and it was GREAT!!! Have always loved their Chicken and Shrimp kabobs. Had the blackened salmon... OMG... my new favorite! Salad with house dressing is delicious and although I shouldn't eat the hot bread served before dinner... IT'S WORTH the calories! The owner's... More

Great little Italian restaurant in Stockton!! Small, charming, delicious!! The house dressing is to die for and they make it at your table!!:) Start off with their fresh baked bread and dipping sauce while you read over the quite large menu. Everything is DELISH!!!! C&J

Really very good little Italian restaurant. Don't be put off by the plain exterior, the food and service are great. Consider asking for the salad and dressing that's prepared at you table . . . it's a fine thing. But, then, they had me at the bread and dipping sauce that kept us occupied before the meal.

I love this place! Cozy restaurant with charming bistro-style decor and an intimate atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. There was a great aroma of baking bread - they bake their breads and pizzas in a wood-fired oven outside. The menu was quite large, with many pasta dishes (with different sauces), and also seafood,... More
