Overall, the food was a little above average, but there were definitely some brights spots. This was the first time I’ve had flash fried spinach! Our host ordered it and I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was really good. Great flavor. Sorta melts in your mouth. One of their specialties. The place was busy on a Friday night—very... More

Great menu. Not your average causal restaurant fare (e.g., Applebee's.) Chef inspired dishes that are delicious. Metropolitan Grill is great for business lunch or special occasion dinner - and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. This is my favorite place to dine in Springfield!

Another great find thanks to Trip Advisor. The menu has choices for all. Prices are above average but the food is well worth it. Try the Jena salad. It is really different. Our server recommended some great choices. A very pleasant dinning experience.

The menu is creative and the food was very good. The plates of food are attractively arranged and taste great. The place will do gluten-friendly meals on request. Service varied a bit for us. The owner comes out to check often and the owner took excellent care of us. The bar and drinks are an important part of this place.... More

We went to the Metropolitan Grill, because we heard so much about it.... The place is very elegant and fancy as well.....The place was jammed packed with people, and they even had a live band.... The staff working the front of the restaurant to the wait staff were dressed very professionally and were very friendly and polite.....Luckily we had a... More

Metro is always packed wtih people. The staff will help guide you through the nights specials and tell you what they like if you are undecided. We have dined here many times in recent years and never have come away unhappy. If you just want to go to a casaual place for a drink and apetizers thsi is a great... More

Heading back to KC after being rained out of a day of canoeing in Alley Springs we needed to find a spot to eat. Fast food and chain restaurants were out of the equation, so we drove around and stumbled in to the Metropolitan Grill. What a thrill it was for us! We were a bit under dressed for this... More

It was just: incredibly good! After trying several restaurants, this is our favorite! The food was very very good and the sizes not too small. But be aware that it is not really cheap (18$ and above).

4 of us just ate dinner there; the quality and tastiness of the food was outstanding. We had the Dr. Swan (pasta with shrimp, salmon and scallops), the Springfield Cardinals (a sampler with chicken, beef tips and shrimp). Exceptionally well done and flavorfull. The menu is a little pricy, but it is worth it. The atmosphere was very nice, great... More

In Springfield for day awaiting car service when we happened upon the Grill. Our lovely waitress Elena greeted us with a warm smile and it only got better. When they did not have a wine we wanted, she brought their list and an excellent recommendation. We had a perfect shrimp pasta dish with Andouille sausage and a perfectly rare Ahi... More
