Great food, casual dining atmosphere

I really enjoyed the Grotto. My family and I went on a Sunday around noon, which is usually a crazy busy time for any Springfield restaurant, but the Grotto handled the rush well. I had a Greek salad & the tomato bisque soup; both of which were excellent. Everyone else had very juicy and yummy... read more

My friends had raved around this place, but I certainly won't go back. When server brought brought plates to the table he said they forget to cook mine...and they didn't bother to offer me anything while I waited. Everyone else waited to eat...and so they all ate cold food. Burgers were overcooked and dry, my fish tacos had a few... More

I can't believe I almost passed up the best appetizers ever! But never fear, I got the blue cheese chips! My husband is not a fan of blue cheese and while I really wanted to try them, I was afraid I was ordering too much as we both got pizza. It was a lot of food but so glad I... More

The food was ok, the atmosphere is like a cafeteria and you stand in line and wait to order your food. Nothing outstanding at all. I had never been there and had heard people brag about how great it was. Nothing special and service was less than stellar!

There is a nice variety of items to choose from whether you want something heavy or light. The music reminds me of Starbucks. Relaxed atmosphere. Tomato bisque soup is wonderful!!

When in Springfield try the Grotto. Been going for a few years now as part of what I do when in Springfield. I can feed three very health conscious people outstanding quality food for about $40. Their homemade Blue Cheese Chips is an appetizer not to miss. My daughters might accuse me of coming into town just for the "BC... More

My favorites are the blue cheese chips & the steak salad. The salads are large and lettuce is good quality. Great selection from burgers to pizza & salads & salmon. Love it!

Hi Sam! I'm sorry if the changes are frustrating but please know that it isn't an arbitrary decision. A lot of thought goes into what we put on and conversely, what we take off. Sometimes items are Limited Time only, seasonal or otherwise temporary. Sometimes we don't sell enough of an item to justify it's place on the menu (as... More

I visited the Grotto for the first time last week and found the food to be fabulous. Had a chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was generous enough to share. You order at the counter and are called when it's ready. The only problem I have with it - and kept me from giving 5 stars -... More
