We sat at the bar for a better view of the fish tank. Might've been a mistake - the waitresses behind the bar were very rushed and running around. We barely caught their attention. The food was okay, but definitely not for the high price! The place had a good atmosphere, though, and was very clean.

What a surprise. We stopped at the tourist information center when we entered MO from NE and the representative recommended this restaurant in Bass Pro Shop in Springfield. What a great idea that was. Excellent food, great wait staff and what a great building the Pro shop is. Good value for the money and would stop here again when in... More

If you've not gone shopping at Bass Pro Shop here...just go do it. When you get hungry head upstairs to Hemingway's. While they most certainly offer a full menu and bar, the lunch buffet is a real bargain! Soup, salad, entrees and deserts at a great price. The food quality, selection and presentation was great. Service was friendly & timely.... More

My first impression is that the place needs a remodel. It doesn't seem very clean, especially the flooring. That aside, the food was just food. We went for the all-you-can-eat crab legs; unfortunately, they were overcooked and bland. For the price, I would not go back or recommend this restaurant. At least not for the crab legs.

Okay, first it's in Bass Pro, so expectations were not too high. But then again, it is in THE Bass Pro. We stopped for breakfast and truly enjoyed the buffet - lots of variety to choose from and nothing ever "ran out." We're seated overlooking the store so an added bonus was watching families pose with the stuffed bear!

Good food, good service but not the cleanest. I have lived in Springfield 22 years and they remodeled "1" time... bathrooms are not the cleanest either. Only go there for breakfast, dinner is pretty pricey... I need clean..

They're not living up to the Bass Pro "image" and I'm just concerned about the people who think that this is great food. I have never had their breakfast or brunch and can imagine that would be very good, as who can mess up bacon, sausage, and eggs? However, their lunch that I went to was so disappointing, I would... Steak was severely overcooked and dry with no flavoring, roast beef was good, wait time after ordering food was ridiculous.... Only thing that helped pass the time was the great atmosphere!

the whole front of the bar and inside the Bass Pro which even if you are not into the great outdoors is a really cool place.
