My family always went here when I was younger and of course I enjoyed the experience. Who doesn't like hot thrown rolls?! I returned (as a husband and now have a family of my own) and still enjoyed hot thrown rolls! The atmosphere is fun and enjoyable. The food may not always be the very best I have ever tasted... More

If you're looking for a fine dining establishment with romantic atmosphere you are in the wrong restaurant. Lambert's Cafe, home of the "throwed rolls", is a fun place to eat. Plenty of home-style food to eat and very reasonably priced. You may have to wait in line for a while to get a table but the wait is well worth... More

I saw this place on the travel channel a couple years ago, and it was exactly what I expected! If you don't get full eating here, then you will never get full anywhere! The portions are huge and the extras just keep coming. Awesome!

The line to get into the restaurant was out the door! However, we got in rather quickly. Once seated, the first things you notice are the decorations on the walls. As you're looking at them, you see from the corner of your eye, hot rolls flying through the air. This cafe is famous for that. Put your hand in the... More

This place has more historic memorabilia than Cracker Barrel. Every inch of the walls and ceilings are covered with stuff. You won't be bored if you have to wait. There is even a game room. We were there at 5:30 on a Friday and no wait. Bus loads of people were there. The place is huge, our service was sort... More

It has been years since my last visit. I was not disappointed at all this time. The food was great (rolls the best). A little over priced but it's the atmosphere you pay for. You don't want to miss this.

The service was friendly, and the food came hot and fast, The prices are way less than I would have expected to spend here. i got the roast and hubby got the meatloaf. Since it was his birthday, he was treated to a free banana pudding and... More

There is really too much food available here so you won't go home hungry but you will undoubtedly wait to get seated. Waiting seems to be part of the experience. Everyone has fun with the hot rolls that are thrown into your outstretched hands. Sides are ordered and others are brought around continually. Here's a hint: if you are two,... More

We always eat too much when we go, so this time we split the fried chicken dinner. It was delicious and just enough for the 2 of us. And with the pass arounds, it was great.

Since we started this trip on our daughter's birthday, we decided to stop at Lamberts for dinner. I had read online that they discount your birthday meal, so when I asked the waitress, she also had my daughter's name & age announced, brought out a banana pudding, whipped cream "cake" with a lighted candle, & had the piano lady play...
