I'm sorry to report that the Wheel Inn has closed due to illness and is for sale as of around October 15, 2013. I quite enjoyed the Goober burger and Reese's shake. We will miss the Wheel Inn.

We drove 60 miles out of our way to try the famous "Guberburger." When we finally found the place, it was "closed for vacation." What kind of restaurant advertises in a travel guide and then randomly closes? Needless to say, we were quite disappointed and a little aggravated!

You must try the portablla mushrooms which they bread and make themselves! Also had the bacon cheeseburger which the lovely waitress recommended was great! It's family oriented and prices are reasonable. The cook yells for the waitress when food is ready and we thought that was cute. Kenzie and rogie both checked on us and made us laugh. Will be... The burgers and fries are beyond compare! Cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Very family friendly 50's diner atmosphere.

The burgers are paper thin and very expensive. Mismanagement keeps raising prices. Mcdonalds charges $5 for 20 chicken nuggets. The Wheel charges $26 for the same product. What I found to be disgusting is the owner makes the cooks cook bacon in the deep fryer. Bacon grease turns rancid if not kept refridgerated. Somebodys gonna die!

The Wheel Inn was always the home of the "Guberburger" a local creation with peanut butter on a hamburger. Yeah, it may sound gross, but it's better than you'd ever expect and you've missed half your life if you haven't had one. The Wheel Inn used to be shaped like a Wheel and it used to be located at the... More

In a day and age where customer service apparently does not matter it's nice to see someone still cares. The restaurant takes you back in time to counter seating. The Guberburger was fantastic and I will return. The staff were extremely politie and provided great recommendations. We had the Guber with the works and onion with side of fried cauliiflower,...
