Saint Robert has a limited choice of places for the business traveler to dine, so over the years I have tried most of them. Sweet water was OK, but not a place I would rush back to. The BBQ looked like it was cooked somewhere else and heated up in the kitchen before serving. The fried catfish was OK but... More

As we were away for 2 days in the middle of the state of Missouri we were looking for some local places to taste test. I had seen this place when doing a little research before our trip but really didn't give it another thought. Well someone in my daughters platoon mentioned they were going there for lunch so we... I make it to St. Roberts about four times a year and I always make sure to stop at Sweetwater. Granted, I'm not a bbq aficionado, but everything I've had has been large portions and quite tasty - ribs, pulled pork, brisket, ham, turkey, and homemade sausage. If I were from Kansas City, I might be a little more picky,... More

The BBQ at this place was amazing. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. Juicy, meaty, and the sauce was the icing on the ribs. Who know that dill pickle and fresh onion enhanced the flavor! Had the potato salad and vinegar based cole slaw. What a great combo. Oh and the portions will not leave you hungry!! We... More

I'm sure the beef, pork etc but the chicken was my choice and it was great. Its a small hometown place slightly rustic but everyone was friendly and prices were reasonable.

Stopped at Sweetwater Barbque and was pleasantly surprised. I had the pulled pork, it was great. My husband got the ribs, they fell off the bone before he could pick them up. The sauce could use some work but it was well worth the stop!!

We decided to stop in for lunch on our way through MO. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the turkey and pulled pork!

Not the most inviting looking place when you pull into the parking lot. They need some flowers or a pink pig or something. Don’t be discouraged. Inside might be due some loving tender care also because it seems a little drab. Don’t be discouraged. Order a Sweetwater special for $9.95 but only if you are hungry. They served two huge... More
