Cozy, family-friendly place

I recently are at Momo's as part of a large, semi-private family gathering. Greek food is one of my immediate family's favorites, and we were eager to try this place, for small-plate Greek food is rare in our hometown. I could not resist ordering the saganaki (flaming cheese) for my son... read more

A group of 6 of us went to Momos tonight for dinner. We ordered drinks, then appetizers and our meals. We have gone to this establishment several times in the past couple of years. The food is good, but they seem to have a real problem with the kitchen staff. We got our appetizers a few minutes apart -- which... More

Walking in, it has a cozy bistro feel. Walking out, you feel cheated. The prices of the food neither reflect the value of the meal, the portion they provide, nor the experience. If you are looking for a hipster place to be seen in, this is it. If you want really good Greek Food, go to the Greek Orthodox Church... More

Like the fireplace, mix of couches and tables/ bar seating, and the very reasonably priced menu. We had a chicken gyro and a red pepper hummus plate. Both were great. As another reviewer said, it would be nice for them to serve the food together instead of serving one person at a time. In any case, we look forward to... More

From the service to the Gyro (Lamb of course) and the Tenderloin to the Baklava, all was great. We shall be back again!

We enjoyed our food and service very much and found the portions of the tapas to be hire generous and the ingredients very good quality. Friendly, attentive service and an eclectic ambience made for a very nice experience overall!

This is a very good Greek place, in the University City area. I dined with my family, and we all enjoyed the food. My chicken gyro was very good, and the hummus spreads were also yummy. There were a few issues. 2 of us had napkins containing a knife with no fork, for some reason. The seating was uncomfortable, as... More

The lamb gyro was too large to pick up, so I ate it with a fork. The meat was tasty, and not greasy, as often occurs when I have ordered this elsewhere. The bacon wrapped stuffed olives were served on two skewers and were plenty to share with a friend. The serve recommended the bread pudding with peaches and caramel... More

We sincerely enjoyed the sangria, the food and the atmosphere. The one con was the tzatziki was a bit thick and lacking in flavor. We did enjoy the lamb gyro, the lamb gyro salad, and the bacon phyllo. The belly dancer was a nice addition, wished she had performed a bit longer. Bartender was very nice.

Decor was okay; seats were not comfortable. We ordered an appetizer and two of the same entrees. Spanikopita was great, but the dinner left something to be desired! We ordered the Gyro sandwich which was hard to eat, due to too much sauce and feta on top. But the meat was the problem....it tasted like it was boiled. It was... More
