Really enjoyed dinner here. Friendly and helpful server, fun eating experience sans utensils, eating totally with fingers and scooping with the light thin bread, great flavors, much fun. They offer samples of the sweet honey wine. Prices are very moderate. Very good value. I did not find the environment particularly nice and the bathroom was not clean, but then neither... More

This past week two of my sons and i enjoyed a dinner at Meskerem. While this was a new type of food for me, I was very pleasantly surprised. A little prior reading about Ethiopian food was most helpful in understanding the type of food, seasoning and presentation. Since most of the food may be prepared ahead, service is very... More

I'm familiar with Ethiopian cuisine since I once worked near an excellent Ethiopian restaurant, so I was eager to check this out when my sister's family decided to return here. They had had a good experience, and I knew that I enjoyed that type of cuisine.... so I was eager to check the quality. The menu was varied with both... More

It was our first time to try Ethiopian food. The staff was very helpful and the food was fabulous. Now I really wish there was a restaurant like this in Little Rock where we live.

If you're on the line about trying this place--do it!!!! Service is great and the food is amazing! I love Ethiopian food and this is one of the best places I've been to (after sampling them throughout the States). The avocado appetizer I've never had at another Ethiopian place; but it's delicious! The vegetarian entrees were delicious and my dining... More

Love this place! A friend brought me and my two sons for dinner and it was fantastic! The service is good, the food is great! Very highly recommend a meal here. Even my picky son ate well.

We tried Meskerem purely on a whim. Had no idea what Ethiopian cuisine would taste like, but we had a little idea of what it would probably look like after seeing an old Anthony Bourdain episode showing him visiting an Ethiopian place in DC. SO, we figured "why not?" We had a hard time deciding on a dish so we... More

I enjoyed eating at this restaurant on a recent trip to St. Louis. I hadn't tried Ethiopian food before, but went with a friend who was keen to introduce me to it. The restaurant is charming and comfortable, and I loved the food. We ordered the Meskerem Combo, which allowed me to try five different entrees in smaller portions. Everything... More

Was in St. Louis for a weekend and was lucky enough to have friends who knew of this spot. Our meal was perfect. All the meats were tasty and not over-cooked. The vegetables were inviting and perfectly spiced. Definitely try Ethiopian food...and try it here

I was a little apprehensive of trying the food at Meskerem. I am a little nervous about eating food that is unusual or different. I was brought here by my 18 year old step daughter who has eaten here several times with friends. She ordered the vegetarian platter and it was delicious! The bread was spongy, thin, and oh so...
