Excellent!

Ethiopian food is a must try! It should be enjoyed in the traditional way using the injera as the scoop with your fingers. Meskerem is a feast for the belly the eyes and the sense of touch. Enjoy!!

No Cutleries. You need to eat with your hands to get the best taste. Had the Chicken and Lamb entrees they were good. When one sees the food, he/she would thing this is south indian food but the reality comes out when it goes inside the mouth.

We visited Meskerem for my husbands Birthday. I have had Ethiopian cuisine before but the rest of my family has not. They were pleasantly surprised at the depth and flavor of the food. It was delicious and a true cutlural experience Ethiopian food is eaten with your hands, it is scooped up by a flavorful bread. The service was Great!... More

Delicious beyond words but I'll make a strong effort just for you. Meskerem is authentic Ethiopian cuisine in an authentic Ethiopian restaurant with authentic pleasant Ethiopian service with authentic Ethiopian decor. The food is ahhhhhhmazingly superb! I highly suggest the Special Chicken Tibs, cubes of tender chicken breast seasoned with mild garlic, fresh onions, green peppers and tomato. The dish... More

Eating at Meskerem feels like going home. I sit at the same table, order the same appetizer, entree and wine from the same staff and have the same experience every time... delicious food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Traditional Ethiopian food is served family style on a large plate lined with ingera... a pancake-like spongy bread made from teff (an... More

We had heard great things about Meskerem but didn't know what to expect. We've never had Ethiopian food so we got the vegetarian combo and the Meskerem combo to try as much as possible. They weren't the most visually appealing but, good lord, everything on both platters was fantastic! It was surprisingly filling, neither of us finished our entire platter.... More

The food here is fantastic and the service is friendly! I got the vegetarian combo platter so I was able to try a little of everything. Some are spicy, some are not. But everything was amazing! Such rich flavors! Do be aware that you don't get utensils (though I would guess you could ask for them if you want). Instead,... More

First experience with this type of food. We ordered the combo plate and shared it. The food is flavorful and tasty. Eating with no utensils was interesting you basically use the very thin bread to scoop up the food. The meat with the red pepper sauce was spicy and good.

I went to Meskerem twice in one week for a book club meetup that I planned. I made a reservation but it didn't see m to matter because I don't think they kept up with it. I expected this though. The service was great both times. The first night was a busy Friday night and the place filled up! The... More

I rode my bike to the area and there was a bike rack within view of the front door so very convenient to lock up my bicycle. Entered and was immediately greeted and sat in a front booth/table that I could people watch and also keep an eye on the bike. I have eaten Ethiopian before but it had been... More
