Usually I'm not one to go crazy over dessert. I really think ice cream is ice cream most of the time. Ted Drews is one of those rare exceptions. Long lines take mere minutes with person after person leaving with a smile. This is one of those times where a city's local favorite lives up to the high expectations.

Ted Drewes is a St. Louis institution. If you're visiting from out of town, it is a must-do! If you stop by on a weekend evening in the summer you're likely to see long lines of people snaking out toward the street. Don't let that deter you! The kids behind the windows are lightening fast and you won't wait long.... More

Visited Ted Drewes during a quick visit to St. Louis - it's a must see/do! Be warned - the concretes are big and very thick! The lines look long, but move very quickly, so don't be alarmed.

My wife is from the area, so for us it's a stop when we are visiting family. My mouth and taste buds enjoyed it greatly and my wasteline is screaming at me.

Sooooo delicious....how to describe. I had the Tedad Scotch Oatmeal cookie concrete dessert. Everything was perfect: flavor, texture, amount (I had the mini, which was plenty!). There were large pieces of oatmeal cookie mixed in the smooth and creamy frozen custard. You just have to try it to understand. The service is very efficient, so don't be intimidated by the... More

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard is one of the things that's good about America! It's a classic is the truest sense of the word. We come to St. Louis at least once a year for a baseball game, and Ted Drewes is a must-do while we're here. The only bad thing is deciding what what to get - today I got... More

A tradition and the best concretes in town. Don't be put off by the crowds- the lines go quickly. There are more ombinatins than you can think of

OMG, if I can't make it to Ted Drewe's when I go home, my vacation is not complete. The line was long, but moved fast. The servers moved fast and were extremely friendly and helpful. A filling experience for frozen custard lover's.

Looking for the best Custard in town?? This is the place. Open late in the summer to fulfill your desire for the frozen sweet treat. Originally a route 66 hit, it's lived longer than the 'mother road' has.

There is much better ice cream in st Louis. You can get that same old time feel at Fritz which is also locally owned. Ted frees has long lines and average ice cream.
