Wow what a great Custard and Concretes; Great variety; Taste is terrific with a great firmness to the custard, Service is fast even with the large crowds lining up; a St. Louis Icon

Our family comes here pretty much every time we are in St. Louis, maybe twice a year...it is consistently excellent. We went to the Chippewa location, and this time of year they have a Christmas tree lot next door. No matter what you order, from concretes to sundaes to plain old custard in a cup, you can't go wrong here!

This place is a St. Louis icon - whether it is 90 degrees or zero outside the lines are the same. Dependable, high quality and a fun place to visit. It is a must.

I have been to both the S. Grand and the Chippewa (Route 66) locations, but I frequent the Chippewa location most often on my trips to St Lou. The product is the best custard ever, bar none. I enjoy plain old custard in a cup, nothing fancy. The ingredients are so pure, you don't need anything more, and you don't... More

We were really excited to stop after seeing the reviews and the frozen custard was good but not great. We loved the unusual sundae and shake combinations and we all tried something different so we could share. :) It just didn't have the "WOW" factor we thought it would.

Very cool locals spot with excellent ice cream. Ignore the line length, it moves very fast and is worth any wait time. A must.

They have a Green Mint ice cream. You can easily add chocolate to the mint to have the typical mint chocolate chip, but I love just he plain mint. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I could have a shamrock shake ALL YEAR LONG! I will definitely return. Sadly I don't live in the area, so I have no... More

I didn't grow up in STL but when we moved here, everyone told us about this great custard place in town. The only "custard" I had ever eaten was in a pastry so when we heard about frozen custard, what could go wrong. I try not to let one bad visit affect my opinion so we have visited a couple... More

Ted Drewes is the quintessential St. Louis place for Frozen Custard (NOT ice cream!). It is thick and creamy ad the servers hand it to you upside down, with no spills. In summers, the city puts up road block to contain all people in line. There are so many flavors to chose-and with fun St. Louis names. We take dozens... More

This is a great tradition to start with the family. The lines look intimidating but move really fast. There are so many different flavor combinations that you have to make several trips to taste them all and pick a favorite. I personally choose Southern Delight.
