We go to the Chippewa location all the time; it is the best ice cream ever! I love their mini fudge. Just the right amount and great creamy chewy chocolate.

What a quaint little place, with plenty of parking (thank goodness we could eat our custard in the warmth of our car!) we went to order and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had a Kristy - a warm chocolate brownie covered with frozen custard and chocolate and caramel sauces, it was delicious, my partner chose strawberry and... More

If your idea of frozen custard is Dairy Queen then you will be astonished by Ted Drewes. If your idea of a quaint ice cream store is Bruster's then you will be astonished by Ted Drewes. Ted Drewes is everything other places imitate. It is not in a shopping mall. It is in a neighborhood. There are no others. It... More

Went to Ted Drewes on a visit to STL because of it's iconic status and route 66 attraction. For a late March day, the place was very busy, but they serviced the customers quickly so the wait was short. When our Concretes were served, the lady turned them upside-down before handing them out the window to us. And yes, the... More

Ted Drewes - an icon in St. Louis! We went around 9:30 on a very chilly night and there were at least 50 people there, standing around eating frozen custard. It's that good.

No one knows what frozen custard even is, down here in south Texas. People look at you like you're crazy if you discuss it. "Custard" is a word that means an egg-based type of molded pudding in these parts, if people know the word at all. I have been lobbying Ted Drewes to let me build a franchise here in... More

Will I go back? Yes. I was surprised at how busy this spot was on a cool March evening. The lines were long and a bit disorganized but they did move relatively quickly. I found the menu to be a bit confusing and hard to read before you are ready to place your order. For a first time visitor this... More

If you like Ice Cream or anything that loosely resembles Ice Cream; Ted Drewes is a must stop at when in St. Louis. The man got it right...add this to your bucket list. You won't be disappointed.
