Yummy...a nice touch is an ice cold water fountain after you eat the delicious custard...I had plain, but the favorite apparently was the turtle... On historic route 66

There are a few things that are unique to St. Louis, and which the people who live in St. Louis consider as part of the culture. This is one of them. I moved to St. Louis in 2002, and I always bring my visitors to Ted Drewes. I was told by someone who is a native to St. Louis that... More

Once we found a place to park we walked up on this place that felt like we had walked backward in time. There were clusters of people standing in front of and around the order windows. Some eating, some waiting but all seemed in high spirits. We only waited a couple of minutes in line to order, the problem came... More

Best frozen custard ever! The line was a bit long and somewhat confusing when you place your order because they take it then yell out what you ordered it gets confusing when more than one person might of ordered the same thing. But it was DELICIOUS ! A must try if you visit the area.

Highly rated on Tripadvisor so I drove by for a desert. When I saw the crowd I almost passed it up but I'm happy I didn't. Dessert was excellent and it was fun to see all the groups of friends and family enjoying this institute of desert and tradition.

One word.....Absolutely fabulous. It was so good I couldn't help but ignore my own rule to use only on word. Before I begin I need to lay the ground work for a certain debate...Frozen Custard, Ice Cream, and Frozen Yogurt are NOT ALL THE SAME THING! If you want ice cream stop by our local DQ. If you want a... More

With temperaures in the high 90's Drewes sure pulls people in for their frozen custard. And they have crowds when the temperatures are not so high. Service is very fast here.

Frozen custard, frozen yogurt and ice cream all taste the same to me. Why do they hold it upside down? The girl at the counter also did not seem to be enjoying her job.
