I've eaten at some pretty good frozen custard places, and this tops them all. I go there pretty often and and always impressed with how good the custard is. One time I went in January or February... It was a Wed night at 9:30, it was 30 degrees out and there were 20 people in line! It's that good. Oh,... More

It was fun to visit this historic landmark on the old Route 66. A parking lot packed with cars and patrons, and yet, a very efficient staff. There was no wait in spite of the 70+ people in line. I'm not a fan of frozen custard, and therefore the 3 stars. But it was worth the experience. A piece of... More

It's just custard for gawd's sake! Our friends (locals) took us there but they couldn't explain the crowd either. Considering there is another Ted Drewes nearby that is serving the same stuff and doesn't have nearly the same crowd the experience of just being with a hundred people eating custard must be the explanation. OK, it was good custard but... More

Based upon friends recommendations, we headed here after a Cardinals game. We were a little turned off by the huuuuuge line, but rest assured it moves quickly and is WELL worth the wait. The frozen custard is the best I've ever had, even better than places in Wisconsin. The prices were excellent as well. I suggest checking out their website... More

We stopped while doing the route 66. The Dutchman concrete milkshake was just incredible. A must stop in Saint Louis.

This jem is a little off the beaten path but well worth the detour. Lots of fresh flavor combinations that match up well with the wonderful creamy custard. Service is fast even though there is often a line up, but hat gives you lots of time to think about what to try. Portions are generous and the banana split can... More

I have been coming here since I was little and it has never been a disappointment! The service is speedy and impressive. The prices are very reasonable and everything is yummy. Personally I like the regular chocolate concrete or the regular hot fudge sundae with strawberries, but everything is yummy!

This establishment had a walk up window and the line was wrapped around the building on a Friday afternoon. There was a tour bus out front and the passengers were happy as they got back on the bus. Need I say more? Don't pass this up....

Ted's "concretes" are delicious and made in several varieties and sizes (even the "mini's" are practically a meal in themselves). Service is fast, friendly and efficient. We did it as part of a Route 66 trip, and glad we did.
