Coming from Florida, we insist on fresh fish and seafood. This restaurant delivered in both areas. The music was a solo guitarist that was just ok. But, It was a great night to sit outside for dinner and then visit the jazz clubs down the street.

We stopped by, went inside and was greeted with a very friendly staff. Not to hungry, we decided to try a couple appetizers. The waiter suggested the alligator, sausage and shrimp cheesecake. Not sure what to expect, we were amazed at how good this dish was. We all enjoyed every bite. We also had the fried alligator which was also... More

Thanks for the terrific review. Our appetizer menu is very popular with guests and many of them make up a meal "tapas style" with a whole table full of appetizers, much like you did. Sorry about the confusion about seating . We have to restrict seating on the patio at certain busy times like Friday or Saturday night in order... More

The Oyster Bar was a fun place for friends to hang out for an evening in downtown St. Louis. I had the fish tacos and sampled some of my boyfriends crawfish mac & cheese. Both were flavorful and seasoned well. The dirty rice was surprisingly spicy for me, but tasty! We stuck around for a show and had a few... More

I once read on a popular college review site that St. Louis was rated as the "#4 college town" for food. And it has been easy to see why. Out of an impressive selection of resturaunts, Broadway Oyster Bar was my favorite. The atmosphere will quickly make you feel like you're in New Orleans and bands frequent the creative stage.... This is a great local diner with music in the outside bar. We loved this venue for a friendly and local atmosphere. We had wonderful crayfish and fresh fish. Service was excellent and helpful. The music was great as well.

We are huge fans of New Orleans and New Orleans food and are always looking for the real thing. This is the real thing. We specifically went during a Cardinals game, and early in the evening, so we had the back room to ourselves and no music. Just the way we liked it. The building itself is really old, and... More

Thank you for the terrific review. We too are fans of all things New Orleans, which is our second home. We want all of our customers to have a great experience but it is especially gratifying when customers from Louisiana or those who have a deep appreciation and experience with the food declare us to be "the real thing". Thanks... More

The food was very dry and the music would have been fine if I hadn't been sat right in front of the stage. I was not impressed with the food for the price.

AMAZING FOOD, DRINKS, ATMOSPHERE, AND WAIT STAFF! We went TWICE on our 3 day trip to St. Louis. Order the crawfish enchiladas, you won't be disappointed! Don't forget to order a bloody mary either! This is one of the best, if not the best place to eat in St. Louis. We will be back next time we're in town!

Worth the walk to the other side of the tracks for an early dinner (great value cajun and more expensive seafood) served in a relaxed manner from a beer tray. The best follows at 9pm (ish) when the band starts for some of the best blues, RnB around which it seems has been going forever (40 years). Different crowd comes... More

Sounds like a Soulard Blues Band Jam Session. They have been happening here every Monday night for over 30 years and the list of musicians who have sat in is legendary. Very glad you got a little taste of St. Louis blues history and that it went down smooth. It is a special night and different every Monday. Thanks for... More
