The toasted Ravioli a MUST

Had dinner at Mama's last night and the Italian Cuisine was on spot. My husband had the famous toasted ravioli and it didn't disappoint--it's the best on the Hill. St. Louis is full of delicious places to eat authentic Italian and Mama's is one of the best.

I love this place and am a regular. Owner Andrea is very nice and friendly. I've never had a bad meal here. Good appetizers. Original home of the Toasted Ravioli - you can read the newspaper about it mounted on the wall. Also good daily specials. I go so often, they named a special for me - The Mike -unlimited... More

Found this restaurant in a "little Italy" type neighborhood close to the Science Center and Planetarium. Before heading to the Science Center we wanted to grab some dinner. Several other places in the area are closed on Sundays, but Mama's was open for business!! The menu was hard to choose from, as there were so many delicious options to choose... More

Can't beat the seafood linguini!!!! Best pasta I've had in a while!!! The portions are very large and I ended up taking half home.

Auntie and I were running a bit late but managed to arrive at the end of the Tuesday lunch service. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a table, then our efficient hostess gave us a menu and took our drink order. Neither of us was able to narrow down our choice so we decided to share two... Went to Mama's on a Saturday night in November 2015 with another couple. We did not have a reservation, but we were still able to get in very quickly. We had toasted ravioli and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. Both were excellent. The toasted ravioli was the best I have ever had. We all had good entrees for the most part.... More

Our first time on the Hill, so we drove around and parked on the street. Started walking, went inside to look at menu, Looked very clean. We took a chance, it was the best toasted ravioli we have ever had. The salads were good we all bought extra house dressing to take home. Then the pizza was the thinnest crust... More

The food is outstanding. The meat sauce is quite good. The portions? Well the kid's plates are enough to feed an adult. Out of two adults and two children we ALL brought home to go boxes. The service was very good. While I am an out of town visitor, I recommend this place without reservation. This was very good Italian... More

The bottom line is that the food was not good. The pizza was so thin it tasted like cardboard and the sauce was too sweet. Fried calamari was not tasty, was too greasy and had way too much breading. I would not go back.

OK so my title isn't orginal. Likewise the food wasn't original. But easily can say it was well-priced, while expected in an Italian restaurant - it was all very delicious. Great for romance, though we were there w family after a hike. Everyone would enjoy it. Casual more than fancy. Sat by door and weather was felt by our entire... More
