Always a delight.

When in town on business, we paid a visit to the Sidney Street Cafe with about 10 couples. We had a reservation and it was a Thursday evening. The food and service were impeccable as always. We've been here about a dozen times and the experience is always wonderful. They have an eclectic menu... read more

We have gone here when they have had live music. The music was excellent--a jazz quartet. The food and drinks and service were very good. It's a cute little bar/restaurant that feels cozy.

Sidney street is still very good but not great. I don't know the reason but the food suffers slightly. It's a good place to dine but there are now better places

After a number of good visits to SSC over the years, we had on June 18 an absolutely horrible experience, having all to do with the "management" as opposed to the food. In the very small and intimate dining area, a table of three diners near us had long ago finished their meals, and were drinking and talking. Their conversation... More

We hadn't visited Sidney Street for many years but ended up there last night for an early dinner. What an absolute delight. Every facet of the evening was terrific and it all started with our waiter, Ben, who was perfectly knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. The lobster turnover appetizer was fun and delicious. The house salad was simple in the best... More

I think I can say that this was the best food I have ever had. The scallops were too die for! We also really enjoyed the appetizer trio...Lobster Turnover, Crabcake, and Veal Dumpling. I never knew I liked Veal, until eating here. I hope to return soon!

First off, let me say that Sidney Street is not cheap. That being said, I find that this is a great place to go and try something new that is prepared in a way that makes it very approachable for first-timers. Sure, you can have the smoked brisket, but live a little. The rabbit clemenceau was superb. I can't wait... More

This is probably our favorite restaurant in St. Louis. The quality of food is consistently excellent. The service is always good and the ambiance is nice. It's not cheap but worth every penny when you can have a wonderful, leisurely meal and experience.

I took a group of 5 adults for dinner on Saturday. The bill was $250 (no alcohol, no desserts). We ordered 2 appetizers and 5 entrees. It was very disappointing. When a salad includes cheese, I expect more than one tiny morsel. When it says boiled peanuts, I expect more than 4. When an arugula salad includes kimchi, shouldn't I... More
