I visited recently to celebrate a wedding anniversary-since I proposed at this very place. I waited too long and had the option of 5 or 9pm so I took the later. It was way too bright in the restaurant for my liking, especially given the time of day. The service was very good overall. There was... read more

I've been going to Sidney Street for years and it's consistently a great meal. The service is attentive and knowledgable. First, the beignets: warm, buttery and delicious. The appetizers can be a meal itself and we always get a few. The steaks are the highlight of the menu, but I usually choose the seafood special and have not been dissappointed.... More

I loved this restaurant! Here's why. First, I like restaurants that facilitate intimate conversation and the Sidney Street Cafe does that. The interior is designed to allow conversation and to eliminate distractions. That's a plus for me. Second, the servers we had were magnificent. I greatly appreciate servers who can and will guide me around the menu. Otherwise, how is... More

Sidney Street has been our favorite special occasion restaurant for ages. When it changed hands, the quality declined rapidly. The current chef has won the James Beard award so we tried again. It really was disappointing. Waitress was not very good, a big change from the past. Left in the middle of taking our drink order to take care of... More

Our first time at this restaurant with great reputation. We were not disappointed. Great customer service from host, waitress, and valet! Food was outstanding, but pricey, but worth it. We will be back.

When in town on business, we paid a visit to the Sidney Street Cafe with about 10 couples. We had a reservation and it was a Thursday evening. The food and service were impeccable as always. We've been here about a dozen times and the experience is always wonderful. They have an eclectic menu with excellent service and they make... More

We have gone here when they have had live music. The music was excellent--a jazz quartet. The food and drinks and service were very good. It's a cute little bar/restaurant that feels cozy.

Sidney street is still very good but not great. I don't know the reason but the food suffers slightly. It's a good place to dine but there are now better places

After a number of good visits to SSC over the years, we had on June 18 an absolutely horrible experience, having all to do with the "management" as opposed to the food. In the very small and intimate dining area, a table of three diners near us had long ago finished their meals, and were drinking and talking. Their conversation... More

We hadn't visited Sidney Street for many years but ended up there last night for an early dinner. What an absolute delight. Every facet of the evening was terrific and it all started with our waiter, Ben, who was perfectly knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. The lobster turnover appetizer was fun and delicious. The house salad was simple in the best... More
