Glad we went

It has been sometime since we have been to Sidney Street. Some of the old favorites are no longer on the menu. However the selection was broad enough and the dishes very creative. Service was top notch and the meal was wonderful starting with cocktails made correctly through dessert. The main... read more

We made this reservation from California for four people. The restaurant even called me to confirm when we were in a car going to the SFO. Then the four of us, who have eaten in the restaurant for twenty years, had the worst experience of those visits, we have got to question why we would ever go back. First, a... More

There are some restaurants where we will go with large (10 people or more) and other restaurants where I wouldn't consider being part of such a group. Sidney Street, in my opinion, is not for the masses. Their detailed, precise approach to each diner is not to be missed. SS is one of our "go to" restaurants for special occasions... More

A group of 17 had reservations for dinner at this establishment. As a large group we realize there are always limitations to service and/or selection of various foods. Unfortunately, and in the opinions of all 17 guests ... this was one of the worst dining experiences in St. Louis we have had. We had reservations for 8:15 and did not... More

We go to Sidney St. almost every year for our anniversary. It has been amazingly consistent for 20 years. I recommended the Steak Wasabi.

I have rated many restaurants on our travels, and found excellent restaurants abroad and in the states, but I consider myself fortunate to live close enough to dine at this restaurant with some regularity. It ranks up there with the best places I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. Romantic atmosphere, creative entrees, always a great variety in their... More

Had several meals a few years back and just made my way through STL again and was pleasantly surprised to see the place is still on top of it's game. I don't know much about STL anymore but if you're looking for amazing food (you won't find a better steak) this is your pick. Friendly Quaint Delicious The End

Just had appetizers and drinks as we already had dinner reservations for a different restaurant later that night, but the appetizers--lobster turnovers, veal dumplings, cheese board, and charcuterie--were outstanding! I'm not scoring five out of five because I can't comment on entrees or desserts, and since we didn't stay long I don't feel confident commenting on the service, but for... More

I recently visited Sidney Street Café. The service was great and the atmosphere went good. The waitress was very kind and explained everything. The food was amazing. The food was pricey and the portions for small. But I went home full.
