Back and better than ever. This casual restaurant, bar, and boat rental facility, located in the heart of Forest Park on Post-Dispatch Lake, is like no other place in St. Louis. The Boathouse has undergone major renovations thanks to a gift from the Jack Taylor family. In the warm weather enjoy leisurely boat rides, lakeside patio dining, cold drinks, live music, and beautiful sunsets. In the cold weather enjoy indoor dining for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch…or just come and enjoy a glass of wine or a hot chocolate while relaxing around the large stone wood-burning fireplace.

**Due to increased traffic in the Park during our busy season, we’ll be able to accommodate reservations for large parties only, 10-16 people, for indoor dining at specific times. Otherwise, our seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

The setting makes it

The food is OK but the real attraction is the location. Nearby you can rent paddle boats. It's a pretty setting and a great place to grab drinks and/or a meal.

My favorite time to go to the Boat House is in the winter at night. The place had a nice fire going in the stone fireplace. Our server was very nice and helpful. Our food was great. My fish and chips were the perfect comfort food on a cold night. The seafood chowder was the best part of the entire... More

I miss the old boat house of the 90s, but this is still a great place. The restaurant is great, but overpriced, of course. The view is great. Just relax and enjoy the evening.

Not only did we get to enjoy the beautiful lake, we got to sit by a toasty fire as we enjoyed brunch of chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, hash brown fritters, and cheesy grits. Yum!

The location and view makes the restaurant worth a visit. Outside seating is wonderful, food is average at best, service is slow and sometimes surly. Yet I will go back for the setting.

We visited this restaurant over the 4th of July weekend, needless to say the menu has really lost its appeal and many great items have been dropped, service was slow but the view was still great. Hopefully it will regain its luster it had

Came here on the knowlege of the tripadvisor menu, the real menu is nothing like the one on trip advisor. Someone needs to do something about it. Very unhappy
