Description: Back and better than ever. This casual restaurant, bar, and boat rental...
Back and better than ever. This casual restaurant, bar, and boat rental facility, located in the heart of Forest Park on Post-Dispatch Lake, is like no other place in St. Louis. The Boathouse has undergone major renovations thanks to a gift from the Jack Taylor family. In the warm weather enjoy leisurely boat rides, lakeside patio dining, cold drinks, live music, and beautiful sunsets. In the cold weather enjoy indoor dining for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch…or just come and enjoy a glass of wine or a hot chocolate while relaxing around the large stone wood-burning fireplace. **Due to increased traffic in the Park during our busy season, we’ll be able to accommodate reservations for large parties only, 10-16 people, for indoor dining at specific times. Otherwise, our seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Boathouse is amazing, its a beautiful place. Wonderful scenery. Great place to go with kids and dogs, love riding the paddle boats, or just going to relax with my spouse... The ONLY downfall is their menu is just mediocre. For being a STL staple I really feel it would benefit them greatly if... read more

We arrived at 5:30, got great free parking just outside of the Muny, and were seated indoors immediately for our group of five. The don't seat every table as the kitchen can't support all the tables. I don't doubt the other reviews, but water was brought to us without asking and service was very prompt. In fact, we had appetizers... More

In the past, we have had wonderful experiences with The Boathouse and Catering St. Louis. However, last night (7/26/15) was less than desirable. It started out great getting a drink from Shannon at the outside bar. We asked for first available and as we were being seated we walked by 3 outdoor open tables near fans. Our table was in... More

The atmosphere here is wonderful - it's so peaceful to enjoy lunch while overlooking the lake. Ducks swim right up the patio and even hop out. There are also adirondack chairs where you can sit and enjoy only a drink if you prefer that. The food and service were both great and the prices are very reasonable. My only suggestion... More

We went to the Boathouse before heading to the Muny because of its convenient location. We arrived around 5:30 and were told our party of 5 would have to wait 20 minutes for a table. Imagine our surprise 10 minutes later when we walked in to the dining room and the place was practically empty! Wth? Our server was good... More

This is a fabulous restaurant with a great view over the lake in Forest Park. You can sit outside or in. Fantastic food and service, and great for a romantic meal (the couple on the next table were clearly on a first date - very sweet). That said, we were there with our 1-yr-old and they were very accommodating for... More

Today was a rainy day and we had planned to go to the St. Louis Zoo. We stopped in at The Biathouse in Forest Park to waste some time while it stopped raining. We had a 2 yr old and a one year old. My son-in-law had the pulled pork sandwich and my daughter and I split the chicken salad... More

We visited yesterday with our family (party of 12). To our surprise we were told that the waitress could not bring us water! We were told to go to the bar outside to purchase a bottled water. We were dining inside! No tap water can be brought out by the waitress !!!!! What???? We are purchasing food for 12 and... More

Waited for over 2 hours for a table and finally left! The hostess kept reassuring our party of only 3 that the wait time was not long and we would be seated shortly. The mistake was giving her the benefit of the doubt. After walking inside to use the restroom due to the long wait time, it was discovered there... More

The Forest Park Boathouse is a delightfully peaceful restaurant. I ama bit surprised with how many have complained Yes, we waited too, perhaps a tad too long but what an enjoyable wait. Our server was peasant and the food quite good for a casual restaurant.
