I took my mother here today, she hasn't been in a while. The customer service was great. It was like talking to family. My mom said she loved her BBQ chicken sandwich. We will be back!!!

We visited Roper's on June 17, 2014. We heard about Roper's Ribs before heading to St. Louis via a St. Louis Cardinals broadcast and Google searches for "St. Louis Style Ribs." We are huge BBQ fans, and being from Texas we've had it all over Texas, as well as other BBQ hot spots like Kansas City, Memphis, and North Carolina.... More

I know this is a bold statement but if you've ever been here and experienced their out of this world BBQ, you know i'm not exaggerating. Their ribs, pulled pork, jumbo shrimp and peach cobbler are out of this world. Furthermore, the family that owns and operates this BBQ paradise are some of the nicest people i've ever met. They... We ventured off the beaten path to Roper's. This is a small establishment, maybe 3-4 tables, seemed like most locals take out. The staff was very friendly, the owner came out and chatted a bit. They explained and offered suggestions which is always nice. We had the St. Louis ribs (they were out of baby back), pulled chicken, fried shrimp... More

I learned a lot about ribs during our trip. The big names in the business like pappy's and brewhouse (or something like that) are owned by the same people. Those ribs are memphis ribs and dry rub. Ropers is true original st. louis ribs. They are delicious! They fall right off the bone and tender and downright scrumptious. We go... More

Who has the best BBQ, Houston, Memphis or Kansas City...that is the question? Well, through St. Louis in the mix, in particular Roper's BBQ. My wife and I traveled to St. Louis for a long weekend getaway from our home town of Memphis and we had to try some BBQ. We heard that Roper's is one of the best in... More

Denise and Carl Roper run the best BBQ joint in the country, hands down. I was in St. Louis and wanted to find the best St. Louis style ribs. When I searched the net, Roper's was number 1. I soon found out for myself why. First off, Denise Roper is the best hostess of any restaurant... EVER!!! Carl is the... More
