really nice neighborhood restaurant

We were visiting St. Louis for a few days and stumbled upon this really nice neighborhood restaurant. It is not on a busy street. It is not in a tourist area. It is near Forest Park and Wash U. Excellent food. Unique presentation of tuna tartare. Salmon was nicely prepared as one of the pasta... read more

We have visited Atlas several times as a prelude to music or other entertainment, and have also just gone for dinner with friends. The menu inevitably is full of tasty choices. I really like the gnocchi. I had the trout once and it is very tasty. The big problem is overindulgence, I have yet to have saved rooms for dessert.

Came here for Christmas eve dinner. Small, intimate place near Forest Park. Friendly staff and a unique menu. Table my party ate at was next to kitchen, and under a harsh light though, which detracted a bit from the experience. Plus, it's a bit pricey, so not sure that overall it was worth $300 for our small party of 4.... More

I always forget about the Atlas as it is between Clayton and the Central West End. It is always good and the appetizers are especially good. I should order four appetizers and skip the main course as the appetizers are very unusual and new and different combinations of flavors. reasonable wine list. I like the John Dory in brown butter... My husband and I ate at Atlas and absolutely loved it. My husband found out about Atlas using an online restaurant guide. Its a small restaurant with limited seating and small bar. Its near Forest Park in STL. The staff are friendly and were seated immediately. The menu is a la cart. My husband had the beet and goat cheese... More

We were looking for a delicious meal with a relaxed pace, and that's exactly what we received at Atlas! The staff were attentive but not overbearing or fake-friendly, and I got a great wine suggestion. The gnocchi and sirloin were excellent! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed but not super fancy.

The food and service were excellent, kudos also to the bar. The atmosphere is lovely and intimate, quiet enough for conversation. The sirloin was cooked as desired. The fresh pastas were very fine. The sides were fun: carrot flan for one, and au gratin potatoes for another. The crab cake was declared excellent and the mushroom soup was amazing. We'll... More

We use Atlas frequently, especially on the way to St Louis symphony concerts. Service & food always good, including getting us out on time for the concert.

I don't don't usually write reviews but I felt strongly enough to write one. I have been here around 10 times over 2 years and I see the same wait staff which is a great sign. Furthermore they are always attentive. I challenge you to have your water be half full for more than 5 minutes. As for the food,... More
