A place to enjoy being Irish

Maggie O'Brien's is a long standing Irish bar near downtown St Louis. If you are looking for Irish food and drink, this is a good choice. Recently had their corned beef sandwich. The meat was well prepared and tender. The Guiness was fresh and cold.

We started with Irish Potato Soup and added bacon and cheese. The melting cheese made it very hard to eat. Next was the Paddy Babe's Origional Smoked Irish Corned Beef sandwich. Corned beef and slaw were excellent. Finished with New York Style Cheesecake which was average. Enjoyed Schlafly Stout.

Worst fish and chips ever.Half of the order was overcooked; the other half was soggy. The fish wasn't cleaned - brown throughout and tasted fishy. Bartenders/servers were too busy taking shots to provide service.

I was surprised at how few people were at this restaurant. The food was great, we split the Reuben rolls and the steak tenderloin sandwich. Our waitress was helpful and genuinely nice. Enjoyable experience.rollsrand the tenderlo

We were here for a couples outing. The food was delicious, especially the Reuben appetizer and the pizza. The drinks were reasonable, and the service was good. I would definitely go back again. My husband had the wings, they had a very good smokey flavor.

We liked lunch here so much that we went here twice! Great prices and quick service. A very nice Irish Pub with cold beer. What more can you ask.

Can't really elaborate on this place other than the host and bartender were friendly and the drinks were cold. The place was kind of dead but I was there early and there was a Cardinals game.

I wasn't expecting much, but I do have to say they have a decent menu for a pub. We ate lunch with other convention attendees. It was a good place for that and might also go for a beer or mixed drink.

I learned about Maggie O's from the valet at the nearby Doubletree Hotel. Very convenient to the hotel and there is a shuttle from there to Busch Stadium. A great place to grab a bite, have a beer and then ride to watch a Cardinal game. A decent selection of domestic, imported and local craft beers is posted on the... More
