Okay restaurant, cheap beer to go

Went here with my husband and kids. Wasn't the most family friendly place (no kids menu, at least that we were offered). My husband enjoyed the beers he got and our food was pretty good. On our way out we noticed they had make your own 6 packs for about $8 - something we happily took advantage of.

My husband and I went here last Saturday night with a couple friends for dinner around 6:30 PM. There was a 30 minute wait to eat in the restaurant area, but there were a couple ope tall ttables next to the bar so we were able to order drinks and food right away. I got the shaved prime rib sandwich... More

Schlafly's came highly recommended by our hotel staff during a recent visit to St. Louis. We took our 10 & 12 year old grandchildren for dinner. It was very family friendly, the place was appealing & unique &; the service was fine but the food wasn"t good. The ribs were fair but the fish in the fish & chips was... More

My husband and I were invited to join a group tour for a friend's birthday. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The part that was different from other tours we have been on is that we went into the cellars. The guide explained how the product gets to final state, but he also let us... More

We picked this place because the fiancé likes trying local beers and it was close to our hotel. The food is way better than your typical pub fair. I had a meatloaf sandwich on an english muffin that had cheese, a fried egg, fried onion straws and a custom ketchup. It was different and I want to recreate it at... More

Our first visit to Schlafly's Tap Room. The Oysterfest was going strong. Long line to go upstairs, but stayed at the bar. The beer was flying out...Nitro Irish, Coffee, Oyster, Oatmeal...all stouts and high octane. My husband tried the Oysters Rockefeller and they were the best. I had the Crispy Spare Ribs. They were deep fried but they were falling... More

Worth the wait! Once a year they fly in over 25,000 oysters. Chowder, fried & Oysters Rockefeller. DELICIOUS! I've been attending over five years!

The specter of Anheuser Busch definitely haunts the St. Louis bar scene; it can be difficult to find a lively sports bar with good beer. Fortunately, the Schlafly Brewery and Restaurant offers a great atmosphere, excellent beer and an extensive menu. The food is very well prepared and reasonable. I have also always enjoyed good service. This place is infinitely... More

We tried a custom sampler of beer with beer bread and salads here. All I can say is WONDERFUL! The fresh baked warm beer bread with garlicky creamy blue cheese served as a counterpoint to our beverage selections. My salmon spinach salad was large and good. Schlafly's is large and can accommodate many.
